This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place

Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

A film about the interlacing stories of a group of friends leaving their adult responsibilities behind to relive their high school years for one night, giving them a chance to see their friends one last time - to reignite a spark they forgot they ever had, to find closure with past relationships, or to forget their adult lives for a night and just be free once again. There were only a select few scenes that really resonated with me in this film - they felt very real and very raw with a dash of sweetness; and they all happen to occur in the second half of the movie, which is by far the better half. But despite the unquestionable chemistry between the on-screen actors as well as the realistic awkward tension between some of them, the film overall fell short. It didn't quite deliver all that it set out to.That being said, it still manages to give the viewer a delightful bitter sweet ride of nostalgia even if it leaves them wanting a tad bit more by the end. 6/10

This story has been told many times before, the high school reunion, 10 years after graduation. Can the bonds be broken, are we changed or are we really the same as back then, can we make a mens or do we fall back into the role from ten years ago because it is in the blood or nature or however you want to describe it.This is a very enjoyable flick, nothing new to the story, but a good cast with great characters and different personalities, this is the tail of an ordinary ten year high school reunion, I guess. Any way, I was entertained and it was very nice for a relaxing time on a easy going afternoon. So you might enjoy it also, it is simple and to the point, nothing elaborate or hidden messaging.

This was a surprisingly solid little film, giving a heartfelt take on growing up through a 10 year high school reunion. Some of the story lines are better than others and there's nothing super ground-breaking here, but ultimately a good movie that I found relatable. The entire thing takes place over one night with a fantastic ensemble cast. Lots of familiar (young) faces as we follow a group of friends who find that a decade later they haven't changed as much as they thought. Much drinking is done throughout as old flames are rekindled (Channing Tatum & Rosario Dawson), a bully (Chris Pratt) tries to make amends and regresses, rivals (Justin Long & Max Minghella) compete for the affections of a popular beauty and a musician longs for the crush who inspired his hit single.Chris Pratt kinda stole the show for me, he plays a sad, frustrating loser of a character, the type of guy we all know/knew and avoid while still somehow calling a friend. I enjoyed Channing Tatum and his reunion with high school love Rosario Dawson while he contemplates proposing to real life wife (Jenna Dewan-Tatum). Justin Long & Max Minghella provide a bit of comic relief that ultimately becomes bittersweet. The credits at the end are worth watching as they show the video shot over the course of the reunion. 8/9/15

At first I recognized some famous male cast and I thought, ow, it's another crappy film assembling famous stars together to get some money out of brainless viewers. Let me name some, I found Justin long immediately, then came Channing Tatum with some long hair (longer than usual, but not so long) and unrecognizable, then it was the "5 year engagement" guy and Hatty Hatterberg from moneyball, Chris Pratt, and last but absolutely not least, Anthony Mackie, an actor that I put some little respect. In conclusion, the beginning of the film seamed pretty mindless. It didn't look like it will get any betterAfter a view minutes trying to leave the film and find other activities, I ended up idle. So I got stuck to the film. Deeper in the story, the girls took over. There were Rosario Dawson (bringing along Ron Livingston as his acting husband), Lynn Collins, and Kate Mara. Remarkably the story got better. The film developed in a good manner as each actor interacted with each actress, bringing their own piece of story to the movie. At the end it got even better it went to a different level of film.If some people say that this is any usual 10 year high school reunion well that doesn't count for everyone. For example me myself. I missed my ten year reunion for not having such awesome life back then or in the present time. So watching this film gives me some good reflection.I was gonna give it a 7 but ended up giving it an 8 for an exponential increase in the quality of the story.
