Highly Overrated But Still Good
InformationRap
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

truly a bad movie. After tuning in for a few minutes I just wanted to know how bad it could be. No one gets wet. The CG was bad as well as the acting. The story is way out there. So they build an ark and one of the engines last 5 minutes. Great engineering. And of course the sails. Perhaps they should have had replacement engines instead of putting the design into sails that are pretty useless in tsunamis which appeared to happen continually. When the writers aren't interested in accuracy, why bother. What resulted was a boring disaster movie. Reviews are right on.I wonder why actors do these movies. Must be because a boat payment is due. But it can't be good for their careers.

I'm not sure what possessed me to rent this movie - maybe the delightfully flaky Ms Keena; maybe a reaction against 2012; maybe I thought it was another film... anyway a flood of biblical (and physics-defying) proportions threatens the entire world so the American Navy builds several arks to save humanity and all the creatures that we've subjugated.Least favourite moments : pseudo-science explanation of how two turbines the size of Harley Davidsons can power and steer a million tonne ark; people survive getting hit by a hundred foot king wave then tread water like they're in a pool; the scene with the survivalists that kept switching to its mirror image.Favourite moments: When the Admiral says (to Ms Keena's sodden Doctor character) "get out of those wet clothes!"; when the captain asks "did the Admiral make it on board?" five days after they cast off! Hmm... that's it.See it if you like: mockbusters!

I can't help but wonder if this film, Super Cyclone, and 500MPH Storm were all made on the same weekend. All 3 of these disaster films are disasters. Everyone else comments on the acting, continuity, and bad SFX and CGI, but I have to speak to honeybees. Unreal. Thousands of Americans are beekeepers. There would be farms all over the states with rainproof hives. The entire continent had not yet been flooded - yet instead of just calling up a honey farm, Tess and company fly (and somehow land a huge ass plane on a rocky hill beside a CLIFF..?) to papier mache caves to try to find bees where no bees would every be? This movie is Painful. I haven't even finished watching it.

First time i have ever reviewed a film on here, so please bear with me!Now i have to say i do watch quite a few B movies on the Syfy channel and some of them aren't to bad, but this, this rubbish is an effrontery to movie making! Best thing about this " film " is the end credits! The direction well there was none, the acting? Well, i've seen better acting on a football pitch! And the continuity? Well they probably couldn't spell it! Story? 2012 but baaad!!! Normally i wouldn't review a film but this was so bad i just had to say something, even if it was just a warning to others to stay away!Go to bed early you are far better off!Watch at your peril!!!
