CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
dyaffe-53570 Lee Aronsohn's nostalgic effort to find out what happened to his favorite band translates into a delightful documentary about the evolution, successes, struggles and breakup of the talented but naive eclectic-acoustic band Magic Music. This film not only chronicles the prototypical 1970s Colorado jam band but also explores the music industry and the challenges that face emerging talent.
dpring-91974 This film does a fantastic job of giving you a look into another time. It's obvious that Lee Aronson has a genuine enthusiasm and passion for this project as well as for the band's music. It does a superb job of showing but not telling each character's personality traits. The members of the band each have such memorable presences. A must-see if you're a music lover or Colorado native!
joshuagrossman-28115 If you want to feel something, then come and check this movie out! It was very-well done, had a lot of funny moments that I'm not spoiling, and had tough moments to drive home that this is real, that this movie is about a reunion, and to give us just a taste of the emotions the band was feeling. If you like music, watch it! If you like emotions, watch it! If you like history (musical history), then watch it!
alicia-452-431179 Anyone who has ever loved music has probably had at least one of their "favorite'" bands break up. It happens all the time. But most of us don't know what happened to them later, and most of us don't remember their songs 40 years after the breakup...especially if they never released an album. But Lee Aronsohn did, and had the time and the abilities to get his favorite band back together and make it into a movie. That's the premise of the film, which is equal parts this nostalgia fest of telling the "after the breakup" story from a band that was truly living out the hippie ideals that so many aspired to, and a story about one guy's love for this band that, let's be honest, most people have never heard of. It's sweet, it's endearing, its educational, and its fascinating. If you're looking for a feel-good story, a bit of history on what happened to (some) hippies, and some really great music, give this one a watch.
