Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

This movie is set in Japan in year 1969. and it shows a group of teenage boys whose main obsessions are beautiful girls and rock and roll. Under the new wave of freedom and liberty in those years, they want to organize a school festival like the ones in America and in the same time in protest to the Vietnamese war. The main characters are Yazaki and Adama, both mischievous and trouble-makers. Adama falls in love with "Lady Jane", a beautiful girl by the name of Kazuko Matsui and he wants to impress her as the leader of the group that's organizing the festival. The movie is fun, but I wouldn't really recommend it unless you've watched other Japanese movies before and if you're not into their inside jokes and sense of humor, because otherwise you won't find the movie really that fun.
Gotti-1
I saw 69 at the International Filmfestival Rotterdam and I was very curious how this film would be. The story is about a boy named Ken, who want's to organize a film- and music festival to impress the prettiest girl in school. The film contains a lot of funny and beautiful moments. The scene where Ken first really meat his girl of his dreams is very beautiful. She walks through a school passage, the floor is full with rose leaves and they also fall out of the air. The film contains a lot of this kind of dreams that Ken has. Also the crazy gymnastics teacher is very funny. He's hitting and kicking Ken all the time, which makes you laugh all the time.69 was the best film I saw in Rotterdam and I'd like to see the other films of Lee Sang-il also.
