Twilightfa Watch something else. There are very few redeeming qualities to this film.
Clarissa Mora The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Roman Sampson One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
Destroyer Wod I watched for the second time this movie today, and honestly i was still a fun little movie just like the first time. I like the build up to Vegas entering the circuit, i like to see him win and all. The only part i kinda don't like is the "moral of the story" at the end, when he purposely loose because he want his girlfriend back. We are then made to believe he left Bowling to rejoin his friends at there small life. That part bugged me up because he could had be a successful Bowling player without all the partying and stuff(and being a douche) that took all of his life and the reasons why Lindsay left him. I would had like to see them reunited and win the big match, after all this is what made Happy Gilmore so satisfying at the end, when he beat Shooter McGavin. But overall its a cool comedy, i like to see him and Mike hang out and all, definitely worth a look.
Johnny_Hing I had to stop watching after the first 15 minutes or so. I watched the initial bowling scenes, and realized that I could in no way cheer for any of these characters to succeed. Why? Well, a few scenes earlier they were getting high, then got the munchies, then ate a couple of slices of a pizza that they were in the process of delivering. Then one of them says to cough it back up, and they actually spit out chewed-up pizza back into the box and try to form it so as to look like it was untouched and that nothing happened. Then they delivered it to an innocent, hapless, unsuspecting customer. Beyond repulsive. There was nothing at all amusing about that scene, nor the ones that followed. I'm not the type who feels obliged to watch a movie all the way through, for better or worse. Possibly the movie got better, I don't know. But I wasn't going to waste my time finding out.
dbborroughs Watchable but not funny comedy about two annoying wannabe actors who get fired from their pizza delivery job and go across country on the Pro Bowlers Tour.I really don't know what else to say other than the two leads like to dress up in various disguises when they bowl, I have no idea why, but they do. Probably the best person in this just okay film is Tara Reid who turns in a good and sympathetic performance that makes you wonder why she is hanging with the guy who's her boyfriend. My ultimate verdict was I watched it, I never laughed, but then again I didn't turn it off either. Not a ringing endorsement. Your mileage will probably vary.
tyzylstra I watched this on DVD under the new name "Strike!" just for kicks and actually did enjoy it. It's basically another Dodgeball/Blackball type of strange sports comedy. As far as the guy that would rather bleed to death...he only watched the first half hour which is what got me hooked on the movie. Oscarz Pizza and all of it's little quirks (see for yourself) was hilarious! The league matches montage was worth a few good laughs too. I'm not sure what this guy was watching, but if he had a sense of humor he should have enjoyed it...oh...and he called Life Free or Die Hard "Fantastic" and "Refreshing"...If you liked National Lampoon's Blackball, Dodgeball, Grandma's Boy etc. etc. you ought to enjoy this movie.
