arrayjumper A gentleman has a cool premise. It also has a cool twist where the movie makes you feel like it is a story about look alike characters but then drops in a time jump. There were even a few laugh out loud bits. The dialog and writing was above average. I also liked the music quite a bit.The movie suffers from a slow start. It has a strong middle and second half. It is also let down by poor acting (especially on the part of Sunil Shetty and the guy who plays his chief enforcer), bad graphics and inconsistencies in the plot. The sound design was also off. You could see that they dubbed a lot of dialogues after shooting the movie. I wish more Indian movies would record audio/dialog live.Overall I didn't mind watching it once and I found it to be a fun watch.

amit1717 The trailers and build-up to this movie had got me really excited. But when I checked the reviews, bam! they were horrible. This literally killed my excitement! So much that I watched this movie more than a week after its release, that too after a lot of hesitation.But once I was halfway through the movie, I started thinking about all the negativity surrounding it, and then realized that several ratings and reviews of this movie on IMDb are utter BS. Which is why I decided to write this review.Coming to the movie, it follows the story of Gaurav - a normal office-goer, Kavya - his love interest and Rishi - a spy. It feels like a Hollywood action movie plus some unnecessary songs and dances which is a routine in Bollywood. The movie has got a lot to offer which includes the concept of parallel timelines, plot twists and a lot of action with a dash of humor.

rimjhim-44609 A Gentleman is a nice take on action comedies. The film has complete action with a pinch of humour and romance. Humour is quirky and light. and action sequences are done nicely. The chemistry between Sidharth Malhotra and jacquline is sizzling. At some point you don't understand certain things in the film but ultimately it turns out to be enjoyable. The film entirely relies on Sidharth Malhotra and he does justice to his role, to what he is given. I loved him especially in that pub scene. The best scene of the film!

mahesh_kr I am glad I decided to watch this movie. It is a slick entertainer with no dull moments. The screenplay keeps you engaged and is very different from a "normal" Bollywood film. Action in the movie is top class and looks very real. Sid looks dashing and suited the dual role. His action sequences would be a welcome break for his fans. Jacqueline suited her role and did very good job. The comedy is situational and not the typical over the top crap. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the songs look on big screen (even after watching them on YouTube earlier). Go for it if you want a different and engaging film. You will enjoy it.PS: I am shocked by the amount of negative comments in IMDb for this movie. I wonder how many of these reviewers have actually watched the film. There is no way *anyone* can call this movie a trash, junk, etc...
