The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

This is a cute little mockumentary about the Balls--a brother-sister duo who are professional jingle writers from Tennessee. While they have boundless energy and confidence, they also must be the worst jingle writers in the world, as their tunes are both annoying and often do little to promote their products appropriately. My favorite of all these awful jingles was the one about Tennessee tourism--it gave me a good laugh. While the film looks pretty cheesy, it actually took a lot of talent to make a film so inane and perky. Very clever writing and high technical skills made this a lot of fun to watch, plus it left you wanting more. Hopefully, we'll see more from these folks, as the film was a riot.
