Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

It is not only a funny movie, but it allows a great amount of joy for anyone who watches it.

A retiring police officer reminisces about the most astounding day of his career. About a case that was never filed but continues to haunt him in his memories - the case of a man and a Wednesday. A Wednesday is a film that was made in India and it makes perfect sense because except some good cinematography this was a horribly slow pacing drama that went on and on, the acting was horrible and the actors didn't try enough and sorry to say this but it doesn't deserve the rating it got in IMDb because it's just simply bland and an overly long failure. Tone, Script & Story: The movie moves around, after a phone call is addressed to chief of police. The phone call mentions detonation of explosives if four of the terrorists are not freed at given location.Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography: Neeraj Pandey is another name for script tight thrillers. The location choosen to film out various scenes are at par with excellency.
Acting: Acting is good from all the leads.Final Verdict: We require such a common man.Well deserved end of ill-minded!

While I can see why the subject (which becomes clear at the last 15 minutes of the movie) is popular, it seems this is the only reason why people could ever give this movie a high rating. And this plot-twist isn't even worked out that well, because the first situation was hard to believe to begin with. But populist subjects/ideas, along with outdated moral lessons, seem more often the (only) reason for Indian/Bollywood movies to get good reviews. It's a (...is disgrace too strong a word?) that it is even possible that this movie is in the IMDB top250 best rated movies of all time at the moment. To sum up the flaws of the movie:
Actors are not credible, especially the 4 Al-Qaeda members.Very bad sound effects, dubbing and overacting during the fighting (...ahem...slapping) scenes.Special effects (during the briefing abt the Al-Qaeda members and when the bomb goed of) are laughableBad editing (fast consecutive switching between scenes and slow motions are overly used and annoying)Flat characters and uncredible actions (why didn't the police guy tell his wife to not come back to the city with the bomb threat?)Suspence building is badly done, I didn't feel it.Music seems randomly selected from the suspence category, doesn't work well.If this is one of the best Indian movies, none should be able to find their way to the 250 best rated.

Great Movie, Good thriller and maintains the intensity throughout the movie. The movie is short but up to the point. Unlike most of the other Bollywood movies, there are no songs in the movie. The movie casts Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Jimmy Shergill, Aamir Bashir in main roles. The movie can be viewed by all type of age groups. Its kind of puzzle which ends very unexpectedly. It is based on the repeated terrorist attacks made in different parts of India and its consequences which makes the life of a common man painful and uncomfortable and how this common man decides to respond to these acts. The first half an hour is kind of a character introduction session, but then the movie picks up as Naseeruddin Shah plants a bomb in a police station and informs the police commissioner (Anupam Kher) about it. After that he claims that he has planted 5 bombs in the city and would reveal the locations only if 4 dangerous terrorists are released. No one is able to trace him and there's chaos all over. The movie then has some unexpected twists which should not be revealed. The best part of the movie is that it questions various issues like terrorism ,Government action on it and religion without offending anyone or being objectionable. Its a must watch movie.
