Matcollis This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.
Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Allissa .Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
johnstarwars The acting was bad and had no meaning. It just kept repeating the fact that Rahul drinks and messes up. It just keeps repeating that same thing throughout the film, "Rahul does something stupid and drinks then gets mad at Arohi". Horrible I wasted my time watching it.
maliha380 It's a movie where it explains that somewhere love can make your life way beautiful more reasonable and yup gives you reasons to live again or start another day...but sometimes we become really selfish that we don't even think about the person who loves us ..... and sometimes we think are not worthy of someone but that's wrong if someone accepts you with flaws then why wait... why can't we put aside those bad habits and just live for them.... The ending of this film was truly heart breaking and beside the whole film was wonderful and different ....just be ready with some tissues and watch it with your partner because after the ending u probably need someone who can hold on to u ........
Darshan M N Aashiqui 2 revolves around a simple story about a hot shot singer, Rahul Jaykar (Aditya Roy Kapur), whose career is spiraling down because of his alcoholism. He happens to meet a young girl, Aaruhi Keshav Shirke (Shraddha Kapoor), and falls in love with her at first sight. Following her to a beer bar, he finds out that she too is a singer and is super talented. So he decides that his next mission in life would be to unlock the potential she has, and introduce her to the world, and make her the "nightingale" of India he knows she can become. And shoots to fame she does, and the rest of the movie is about her fame and his alcoholism. It is an old-fashioned, well-told love story and is a bit different from all the other romantic dramas that you'd have been accustomed to watching these days. The simple story gives the director the space to build on the characters and god, does he do an amazing job! The true essence of the movie is in the characters and the actors do a fantastic job in depicting them and it is a treat to watch them in action. Shraddha just steals the show with her acting and her innocent beauty, and Aditya Kapoor does a fairly good job, if not brilliant. And the songs truly connect to your heart and it complements the story very well. What is so fascinating about this movie is how well alcoholism and its consequences are shown. Even though the screenplay is off in some places and the scenes abruptly change, these mistakes can be easily forgiven. Overall a beautiful, well-directed, well-acted movie, which is a must watch, if you ask me.
Sue Green This was one movie that will stay with you. Detractors aside, its a heartfelt depiction that takes a simple tale to something more. Thats the directors achievement. Melodious songs with lyrics that relate to the story are a pleasure, the new singers are good. Mohit has also evoked good performances from the small cast and navigated well the nuances of a relationship on circumstantial rocks. Aditya is very good in most scenes with effortless dialogue delivery and expresses intensity of the character in a controlled way. Shraddha is also good at bringing out the vulnerability of the character devoted in love. The simplicity, purity of romance and affection is perhaps the best ever seen. Watch it for sensitive direction, melodious songs, good performances from a pair of good looking newcomers.
