Just so...so bad

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

In the island village of Mandwa, the school teacher Dinanath Chauhan (Chetan Pandit), highly respected by the villagers, tries to dissuade them from giving away their lands on lease to Kancha (Sanjay Dutt), the son of the village head who plans to start a drug mafia. Knowing this, Kancha decides to get rid of the school teacher. He ambushes and murders a young girl inside the school, framing Chauhan for the murder. With the support of the villagers, Kancha then kills Chauhan by hanging him to death from a tree which is witnessed by young Vijay Chauhan (Arish Bhiwandiwala), the son of the teacher. Vijay Chauhan along with his pregnant mother Suhasini Chauhan (Zarina Wahab) leaves the village. Destitute, they find shelter in the city of Mumbai but Vijay harbours intentions to go back to Mandwa and kill Kancha.

What was the director thinking when they made this BS and released it to public. The film is dark and gloomy. It looks like the skies were full of dark clouds all the time and as such there was no enough light for you to be able to see the faces properly. Acting, story is awful. Priyanka Chopra just cannot keep her mouth shut and I mean it literally. In the end, first Sanjay Dutt beats the crap out of Rithik Roshan and Rithik makes no attempt to save himself or attack. And then the reverse. Rithik beats Sanjay Dutt and it feels like Sanjay Dutt is now too tired to even want to stand lest fight. And why does the Vijay's mother go to the police station to tell about Surya? PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS CRAP.

This film truly had a lot of expectations riding on it. But it surpassed all of them, and the result was a gem of a movie. Debutante director Karan Malhotra does a fantastic job here.Hrithik Roshan stepped into some large shoes when he took up the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. But he added his own, to this role. Hrithik's Vijay not only had dialogues and action, but also something that the older version didn't. Vulnerability. Hrithik emoted beautifully with his eyes. His acting was top notch! An amazing actor, an amazing talent.Sanjay Dutt was just the perfect villain this movie needed. If the protagonist is strong, you need an equal antagonist. And Dutt's Kancha definitely provided that. His huge body did half the work, and not to forget his scary lines and bald head. His experience, and dedication truly allowed him to bring justice to this role.Rishi Kapoor turned all heads when he appeared as the grey-shaded Rauf Lala. This was a first-of-a-kind role for him, and he was outstanding. Never would you imagine him in such an avatar. Superb!Overall, you simply cannot miss this movie! Action, vengeance, romance and most of all brilliant acting.

Saw it on the second day. Acting...Acting...Acting...watch it for some great acting. Hrithik and Sanju Baba(Sanjay Dutt)rocked...though I would have loved some more on-screen interaction.Rishi Kapoor was a delightful surprise..amazing acting from him... The "iitr tapke" line, gave goosebumps.(My favorite part of the movie other than the climax)A bit disappointed from the storyline, may be over-expected due to the classical Agneepath(Amitabh Bachchan). Though the adaptation from the original movie has been great, the focus shifting from Vijay to Kancha worked.Amazing Bollywood action...a breath of fresh air. Nice dialogs by Piyush Mishra, liked. In love with this guy.Money's worth. The 150 INR got repaid.
