The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

I usually like darkly lit movies where you really can't tell what's going on. This is an exception, and immediately called to mind, "The Mist", Stephen King's baby, and much, much better. With "The Mist" you have character development, and actually care about what happens with the actors populating the story.I did watch "Alien Raiders" through to the end, but I felt robbed of part of my life. Now some people like "Alien Raiders", and it even won a few obscure awards; I have to disagree. If it was the only movie out there like it, you might want to watch it.With "The Mist" available, I'd just skip this one altogether. "The Mist" has it own pretty obscure nominations and wins (more), and a bunch more fan upvotes than this one.I agree with the popular thinking for once. And, Merry Christmas, y'all!

Please change the title! The title is a spoiler. If the movie had a different title, the viewer would have been wandering for 35 minutes "what the h*** is going on!" The audience sees a group of thieves? Terrorists? One of them touches their heads. One of the hostages is killed, the other not. Why?With that title, I was just waiting for the monster to get out from someone's body. And that's what happens. The movie is not that bad. Acting is pretty good and cinematography too. The script sometimes repeats itself. My favorite line is Cop: You were infected?Charlotte: - Yeah. Didn't take. Too much "better living through chemistry" screws them up real good. The only problem is you gotta keep using to keep them from taking over.Cop : That's the best druggie excuse I've heard.

The only thing you need to ask yourself when deciding whether or not to watch a film called 'Alien Raiders' is
do I like the sound of a film called 'Alien Raiders?' If the answer is 'Yes' then you'll probably get something out of it. However, if the answer is a, 'No – that sounds like one of those cheap B-movies you see in baskets at petrol stations for £3,' then you're probably better off passing this one by.It's one of those films like 'Snakes on a Plane' where you basically know what you're getting from the title. It's about a group of aliens (who look human to save on special effects) who are tracking down a bad alien and take a group of humans hostage in a supermarket while they try and figure out who's infected. It starts off slow, but picks up pace about half way through. And then it becomes a reasonable little B-movie. So, for anyone with a taste for sci-fi who isn't expecting 'Avatar-like' special effects, you may just get an hour and twenty minutes (cheap) amusement out of this.http://thewrongtreemoviereviews.blogspot.co.uk/

Alien Raiders surprised me from the moment i turned it on. Clever plot twists, good story line and excellent acting. The story begins with a big mystery with a group of people with weapons looking for something they never explain what. The employees in the store add to the drama of the scene, each with their own well developed character. The story builds momentum and it keeps you wishing for more and more information. The ending explains just enough to be interesting but not giving too much away. I'd love to see a sequel to this flick.
