FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

lakshanyalikitha This could pass for one of those hate it or love it films. I just finished watching the movie and there were some moments so hilarious that I practically had tears in my eyes by the time I finished laughing. The storyline was not exactly refreshing in concept but the cast did a good job in my opinion and since I was in much need of some cheering up,the movie worked just fine for me. In all fairness, you could do so much more worse than choosing to watch this movie. The CGI effects were not that up to par but it doesn't really mar the film's entertainment value. Just go ahead and give it a try. If you don't expect too much out of the film you might actually end up relishing the movie.
MattyGibbs I watched this on the insistence of my two young sons. Having checked out IMDb prior to watching it I wasn't expecting anything other than a bog standard kids film.It quickly became clear however that this film had a highly likable cast and was a cut above usual family films. The storyline is familiar and kind of predictable but the cast are obviously enjoying themselves and this comes through strongly throughout the film.Where this film works is that it is actually funny for both kids and adults. It is fairly predictable but thats not really a negative for me in family films. Both my sons who are under 7 loved it and I must say so did I.Quite why it is rated so lowly is beyond me.
annevejb First viewing I found this difficult. An amazing vehicle for Ashley Tisdale, just the ending as vomit. Re Tisdale. The few stories that I have with her include HSM and the sampler DVDs of Suite Life. I can read those as her developing the Maddie – Sharpay persona and growing it in different directions. Picture This has her as not the same and I do not rate it high, but that is because I find the actual story to be the wrong sort of magnetic. Tis – Mandy as attraction magnetic and her dad as repulsion magnetic, most other characters blending with Tis – Mandy in a less tearing sort of way. Aliens has variations on the Maddie – Sharpay persona pattern and I can rate that aspect a lot. She is often softer, as with Maddie, but the ending is horror deeper than Sharpay can devise. So, the horror is real world stuff. This practices a standard fiction trick of taking a real problem and exploring it in a different way by blaming it on aliens with the kids just getting carried away and practicing it themselves on someone who they consider to be totally askew. Making him even more askew. Standard gargoyle stuff. This is serious literature masquerading as kid's stuff? My favourite Tisdale is Donnie Darko, though she only appears in that, off and on, for seconds. It is also my favourite Daveigh Chase, Beethoven 5 as a near contender, and one of my favourite Drew Barrymore, her of Poison Ivy and Music And Lyrics. For my favourite Tisdale with noticeable on screen Tisdale, Aliens feels a must, or some episodes of Suite Life. * Get a DVD of five episodes of Power Rangers (2004) and that has two characters that occasionally show a Maddie – Sharpay type persona. It looks as if those in the know re Disney stuff should be able to notice the early development well before Tisdale joined in. For me, Ashley Tisdale does add quality, a noticeable difference.
