Reviews

Diagonaldi Very well executed
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Lucia Ayala It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
saramgia This is not as described but rather is an anti-Roe v. Wade film they show in clinics that pose as women's health clinics to prevent women from terminating pregnancies. It presents false information regarding pregnancy, zygote/embryo/fetal development, abortion, and abortion providers. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are portrayed as ideologues whose dogma is that of the West Borough Baptist Church. These and all character portrayals are necessarily shallow. Its portrayal of the one black couple is offensive in its racism and stereotyping. Everyone in the movie is literate, except the black couple, who are ignorant and stupid, and incapable of uttering a grammatically correct phrase or behaving in an unaffected, normal manner. Every time a woman gets an abortion, movie-god bawls. Quote from receptionist: "In my day a woman kept her drawers on, because she knew if she didn't, there would be a heavy price to pay." The movie preys on young women's naivety: every woman has unlimited resources; every unwanted child grows up to be a wonderful person.
Joe Christopher Alison's Choice is one of the most important movies ever made. How many movies can literally be responsible for saving a life? Alison's Choice is such a movie and if you haven't followed this film's production you should know that it has already saved lives! That kind of power goes far beyond the qualities of the productions you'll see on IMDb's top 250 movies list! That is not to say that Alison's Choice is in any way lacking in production quality, though. This is Bruce Marchiano's masterpiece. He wrote the incredibly moving and powerful script and brought that script to life from the director's chair in his directorial debut all while giving another touching and memorable performance in the role of Jesus. One cannot help but be moved by the passion Bruce had for this project.Chanel Marriott also gives a wonderful performance in the role of Alison. She perfectly captures a combination of self-righteousness, anger and rationalization with a blend of sorry, fear and despair. It should be apparent to anyone viewing this film that this fantastic young actress certainly has a bright future ahead of her.The soundtrack is excellent and plays a vital role throughout the entire film. There are moments that will make you cry and there are other moments that will make you smile or laugh and that is quite a feat considering the serious topic being addressed in the movie.Overall Alison's Choice is one of the best movies I've ever seen and I hope many women faced with the same choice as Alison in the movie watch this before making their decisions. Bruce Marchiano deserves considerable credit for making a pro-life film that does not come off as preachy or judgmental. There's just a very well made story about Christ's unending love, passion, grace and mercy for all of His children.
