What a waste of my time!!!

It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

First of all i would like to thank Mr.Ameer sulthan who select ravi to act in it .. a much effort taken by ravi to express in all possible ways and to attract the audience with his keen acting .. just now i came from theaters and the 157 min had made me to write this review . excellent acting from all and once again after paruthi veeran ameer proved that he has the capacity that he could get the perfection from any actor . Then i really want to say about neetu , who gave the thrilling part for the movie and who has put a way to introduce bhagavan .first half is really seems to be a Hollywood mafia story and after the second fight the movie get more interesting . the second half became more interesting by yuvan and Bhagavan.i am sure ameer would have made the audience to feel why he keeps the slogan of this flick as mafioso love story ..over all the movie is excellent and it proves ravi's talent and it sure deserves a national award for him . if you are addicted for the films like departed, district 11 ., this one is for you , eat it . . .

Once Again after "Paruthiveeran" Ameer gave a blockbuster......! Excellent Cinematography by Devaraj. Powerful background Scoring by Yuvan. Neetu Chandra suited her character well. Finally the main focal point is J.Ravi. A Mind blowing performance by Jeyam Ravi than in his any other film. The first half of the movie takes place in Thailand. It goes a little bit dragging but then the story takes place in Mumbai, doesn't lacks any thrill and keeps you at edge of your seats. Amazing getup and body language by Jeyam Ravi makes a turn in his career. Worth watching the film. Songs - 6/10 BGM 8/10 Cinematography 7/10 Acting - 8/10.

I went to the cinema hall expecting a total badass gangsta flick, did i get what i wanted?yeah, to some extent.Ameer who has previously made movies like Ram and Paruthiveeran experiments with a full blown commercial flick.Aadhi Shanmugam is a gangster based in Bangkok,he earns the wrath of Rao brothers of Andhra Pradesh after he steals their stash posing as a CBI officer.Gradually he falls out with his boss Mr.Shyam , and everyone including his former boss and Rao brothers want him dead.Meanwhile he falls for a waitress and follows her to Mumbai. What happens next is the interesting part of the story. This movie is by far the best movie of jayam ravi,he convincingly pulls of both the roles of aadhi and bhagavan.Neetu chandra has acted well too. There appears to be a few open ends but maybe the director has plans for a sequel.

If the makers of "Aadhi Bhagavan" were under the impression that controversies work in favor of a movie esp after Vishwaroopam Fiasco, they are in for a disappointment .There were plenty of empty seats in the theater even after the controversy surrounding the movie. Now on to the movie.I don't believe that the movie deserves a really big post cause the movie ain't worth it.So i will try and keep the review as short as possible. Now first to the plot of the movie. The plot isn't something really novel. It is a tale of Aadhi and Bhagavan, both played by Jayam Ravi.Aadhi, a gangster in Bangkok, lives a luxurious life who falls in love with Rani(played by Neetu Chandra) while Bhagavan is a local thug in Mumbai. How destiny brings them together forms the crux of the rest of the story.
