Tied for the best movie I have ever seen
GarnettTeenage
The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.
Neive Bellamy
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

You can see in this short film that by 1918 Harold Lloyd dug deep within himself to deliver a personality that affords us entry into his humanity. There is a totality of character in his offering in this film, and it suggests that he spent many hours alone with the scenario trying to familiarize himself with the glasses character and understand him in a potent way. Watching him evolve from Lonesome Luke into the glasses character is a study in character development itself. The only other comedian that surpasses him at this point in terms of richness of character is Chaplin. Buster Keaton pales into insignificance as far as I'm concerned.
