ScoobyMint Disappointment for a huge fan!
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
thomasjay-52277 The combination of multiple visions this release shows the talent and capable hands of Marvel as they turn what could've been one of the most ahambolic pieces in their filmography into arguably one of the best with the wonderful visuals and great cast creating a truly fantastic film which is a memorable experience and steps away from the tropes of superhero/comic book genre films, highly recommend
elizabeth-12994 I thought that they couldn't have been better with the casting. They were all brilliant, especially Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily. I thought it was extremely funny and Marvel made the film very well. The story line was amazing and very different to most marvel films. It is definitely a movie I watched multiple times. If you haven't seen it already, I suggest watching it.
jonahcybarra-82318 As Marvel (I don't count DC) continues to release superhero films, the phrase "superhero fatigue" becomes more and more of a reality faced by the film industry. In order to break this mold they themselves have made, Marvel has turned to secondary heroes and brought them into the spotlight. Ant-Man is one such hero and this film is the continuation of the legacy the first Iron Man movie began. One of this film's greatest strengths is the scope of its story. Changing it up from the now normalized end-of-the-world or end-of-the-universe plot, Scott Lang, played by the versatile Paul Rudd, must prevent his benefactor Dr. Hank Pym's research from falling into the wrong hands. A bright spot in this film is that the relationship between Dr. Pym and his estranged daughter Hope van Dyne played by Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly respectively. Both actors play up the tension between father and daughter in subtle, natural ways that help to make their strained relationship believable. A breakout performance I have to talk about is that of Michael Peña, playing Scott's former cellmate and best friend Luis. In every scene he is in, Luis steals the show and this character is a true testament to Peña's acting skills. My only gripes with the film were its villain, a forgettable, run-of-the-mill performance by actor Corey Stoll, and the amount exposition done in the first act, things that either didn't matter in the long run of the plot or simply didn't need to be in the film. I will admit, I was against going to see this film, thinking of it as simply being a cash grab by the film studio. I will, however, be the bigger (zing) man here and admit this film was a very pleasant surprise and I'm happy that I was proven wrong. All in all, this film is a fun adventure that is a breath of fresh air in the increasingly cluttered genre of superhero films.
rayzor-48900 I know I know, its 2018 and I just watched this. So what I'm not a super comic book fan who watches all the DC/Marvel movies that come out. But I gotta say this movie was good. Not awesome, not lame. Good. Paul Rudd is perfect for this role. Spot on. Something else though, we need a Spawn reboot.
