I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.

Kyle Coker who created this short comedy took inspiration from both The Wizard Of Oz and Friends. A couple entertainment pieces that have certainly withstood the test of time. This one has a gay twist and as was remarked the pictures of attractive men on their bathroom wall is guaranteed to send them out with a smile and a song every morning. The four friends are two straight women and two gay men who have come from Kansas to make their fame and fortune in the theater. They've settled in the Astoria section of Queens. Future episodes of the show if it is picked up and I hope it is ought to emphasize the ethnic nature of Astoria, it is one of the last truly ethnic neighborhoods in New York and the only one in the city that has become a Greek enclave. The four are Sangeeta Parekh, Lauren Fortgang, James Heffron, and Aaron Michael Davies and they are an attractive cast. Two plot elements are in this pilot, Parekh trying to push Fortgang into a date with someone influential and Heffron as a wise older hand at the dating scene trying to help Davies get over a date that might not lead to anything. Davies is a sensitive soul, so much like many young gay men I knew back when I was in his age bracket. Wish I had a Heffron to help me learn the ropes. Two gay men and two straight women are a formula to guarantee conflicts in the future especially with bisexual men. When we're ready for an LGBT sitcom in prime time, I hope someone picks this up.
