Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

colehrogers Horror comedies have the unique ability to make viewers laugh at uncomfortable or gruesome scenes! Attack of The Killer Donuts utilized this production tool perfectly to describe is story of killer donuts, cheesy characters and undeniably funny one liners. Depicting a tale of science experiments gone wrong and killer donuts from the local bakery, this self-aware comedy is an absolute classic. I loved the film and will definitely watch again! Enjoy!

alexthesundancekid It is not often that you see a special effects specialist and animator turned live action director. Scott Wheeler successfully brings a horror film to the camera that has hints of comedy and cartoon. This movie has a comedic aspect that reminds me a lot of Chuck Jones and Edgar Wright. For example, the donuts, in spite of being murderous and terrifying, have an adorable voice whenever they communicate between each other to kill everyone that is in town. It takes an incredible measure of creativity and good ideas to make a movie where the main antagonist is an army of donuts. This idea, coming from the mind of three writers, is enhanced by the use of successful animation and special effects to make a weird story for a film into a bizarre and genius one. I would totally recommend this movie to those who are starting a career in filmmaking; it is truly inspiring and I assure you will leave the room with a will to start making your own story, because not matter how absurd they might sound, they end up being actually good!

wilderunn-629-115567 If you enjoyed 'Return of the Killer Tomatoes', then this movie is right up your alley.It's a fairly standard B-movie guys. Low budget. Bad acting. Asinine plot. Laughable production values.All that being said, I found this gem of a flick entertaining for it's 98 minute run time. It had plenty of laughs and the CGI of the jumping and murderous donuts is hilarious to say the least. And people off-screen throwing the donuts to show them in pursuit? Brilliantly moronic.I've seen B-movies that I had to stop after the first 20 minutes or so, they were too awful to watch even for the sake of trying to ironically enjoy a cheap movie. Not the case here. Sure it will never win any awards and is never destined to become a cult classic, but for this flick to remain fairly unknown is a pity. I, for one, was entertained.
