Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

With the previous two "Bad Ass" movies watched, then of course this one had to be watched as well. The story in "Bad Asses on the Bayou" was adequately entertaining, but it just felt that they should have stopped making these movies after the first one, because parts two and three don't have the same level of energy as the first movie."Bad Asses on the Bayou" was troubled by an overly predictable storyline.Danny Glover is definitely getting too old for these kind of movies. Danny Trejo carried the movie quite well, and he did make the movie bearable to watch. If you enjoy action movies, then "Bad Asses on the Bayou" is hardly the first of choices to go to. It was an adequate movie for what it turned out to a; a mediocre action movie.

This isn't a typical action movie, it's much more of a comedy movie, so if you're looking for action - go elsewhere. The one liners that get tossed about are funny and yes the acting could use a bit more...but overall enjoyed the movie and definitely did a lot of laughing through it. Glover and Trego never fail to hit the punch line in this movie. I pulled it up on netflix for a 'look-see' if it would be any good or not, and once the show started, it had us watching and laughing throughout. I imagine some of the bad reviews are from people that wanted a serious action film and this one is no where close, it's actually a bit fake in one scene when there's a lot of shooting going on, but again it fits the comedy part of the show.

Well depending on how you liked the first two movies, you can expect to feel the same here. It's not that the movie redefines anything, though there is a change of "scenery". That's nice to see, but how often can you fake and fool criminals in one movie? Even at that age and especially if you consider the "bad guys" to be deadly (or at least they attempt to look like it).Still Danny Trejo and Danny Glover, the latter who is not too old for flying on a plane and ... well you'll see where I'm heading with this and what might have been written in there to draw him to sign on this movie. It worked and who wouldn't want that to happen on their flight/ride? Exactly. Back to the movie and the action, which is decent, especially if you consider who is playing the characters. There are nice touches (such as the not running thing, which they would be too old for and was one of the worst bits in Taken 3), but overall this is standard procedure.

A franchise based on a popular youtube video? It's happened/happening, and by the final shot, it seems that there is no give up yet......for the writers at least. So this time the boys foil a robbery, the video gets posted on the net again, and they decide to take a break to the Bayou, where the comic relief woman from the second is living with her fiancée, and the bloke from Die Hard 2 and Coming To America. No sooner as you can say 'montage of alcohol drinking', the comic relief woman is kidnapped by Duck Dynasty, and is held for a tasty ransom. So it's up to the guys to rescue her, wearing ever ridiculous outfits, and fixing a sub-plot including some young lad getting bullied by a really greasy haired lad. Here's a challenge for you, watch every film that Danny Trejo has appeared in, whatever quality the movie is, try it, he has been in almost every film ever made. The man was in Heat for crying out loud, and now he's comfortable making very generic, nuts n' bolts action movies. So the best thing to do is lower your expectations, and take comfort in knowing that the two leads are endearing enough, and ignore the abysmal acting from the rest of the cast, Amos aside. It's pretty clear who the bad guy is from the upstart, the director probably forgot to tell him not to go full pantomime. So for the rest of the film, we have the two taking out the bad guys very slowly, Amos joining them in taking out the bad guys very slowly, and a silly twist that you could see coming from about ten minutes in,my hanks to some truly terrible narrative and acting. But with a title like this, what else would you expect? Its watchable enough for a Sunday morning, and it's use of stock footage from Air America is both genius, and at the same time, hilarious.Throwaway stuff of the highest order....
