In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
StyleSk8r
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

Blistering performances.

This is my very first review of any film after watching about every masterpieces around the globe. This is only to praise Indian cinema. These types of movies are required for audience to think about revenge.Very Raw......absolute real image of revenge. How a protagonist becomes antagonist and when an antagonist becomes protagonist, it has happened in a very subtle way....very gradually. The only thing which I disliked was that the story itself is not sufficient to make anyone intact to the screen. It's less entertaining, but after watching you will definitely think about this for hours or days. The first scene of this movie is awesome. Very unique type of camera shot which I have seen so far. This is not a Tarantino style revenge drama which focus on stylish killing, gore and blood. This is a movie which anyone should watch alone without any interruption. Those people who involve in the character while watching movies, this movie is for them.

Badlapur is a 2015 Indian action thriller film[3][4] directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, with Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Vinay Pathak, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte in supporting roles. The film was released on 20 February 2015.[5] Box Office India reported that Badlapur grossed approximately ₹77 crore (US$11 million) worldwide. On January 11, 2016, The film was nominated for Best Film in the 61st Britainia Filmfare Awards, as well as other categoriesI was really impressed to see something this good from bollywood. The acting was phenomenal from nawaz, varun, huma and vinay. But above all its the direction which stands out. Editing was a lil slow at times but direction, screenplay and cinematography was brilliant. It's a raw, brutal, thought provoking drama thriller. There was sufficient character development of all characters, that u feel sympathy even for the bad guys. Sriram raghavan is a brilliant director. In the future, GOD willing, will keep a track of his films. The climax between varun and nawaz was excellent portrayal of a psychological effect. Revenge can send person on a journey that will take the person places far darker than he/she would have ever dared go before. Seriously **cked up places, within onself. Seriously what next after taking revenge?

Average Bollywood revenge dramas thrive on predictability. They rarely, if ever, tamper with the bad guy-good guy construct. Badlapur is an exception. The charms of the movie: Varun and Nawazuddin. The one I liked more was Varun for a very simple reason. Nawazuddin is an acclaimed actor though underrated. It's Varun who broke the stereotype chocolate boy image and got onto a new avatar. One that's disturbing and at the same time interesting.Badlapur toys with many shades of grey, significantly enhancing the effect of its pivotal dramatic conflict. The film does have its share of flaws. Many contrived passages tend to slow down the pace of the narrative.

Acting done by Nawaz is really impressive, but the movie is having low content.the character act by varun is not that much good.it leads the crime in the society.i watched movie because of nawaz otherwise i quit movie in the middle.climax put by the director is good. And the vulgarity shown by the director in the movie wasn't needed. If people want to take revenge from someone can be taken by otherway. It will give the wrong direction to the society, and the women's respect will reduce and for that India is known as.Anyhow good try by the director, producer, writer and actors.hope they will give better movie to the cinema world.
