minhchau-dolphin Another film on the "Time Loop" motip. It's about a teenage girl with a perfect life: perfect family, perfect friends and school, until everything changes. She is trapped into a time loop, reviving one day over and over again, and unable to get out of it. Going to find an answer and solution for all the troubles she is in, she also discovers the secrets of people around her, secrets that changed her own life and her means of happiness forever. The time runs out, and she realizes the day she is living will be her last day, and she has to do everything in her power to save a person's life and make hers matter, before it's too late... If you want to see a teenager film that is enjoyable and not too much drama or boring, "Before I Fall" is a good choice. I dont like the ending, but it's reasonable, and it's a plot twist. (possible spoilers here). Time Loop concept is not something new, and there is thousands of films have been done with it before this one. Recently, it's "Happy Death Day" and also about teenagers and time loop thingy, so if you have already watched it, then you will feel fine about "Before I Fall". The acting is great, though. The music? Not too much. The plot is good, but they could've make it better and clearer to the audiences. Death is something you cant run away, and the girl's fate had already set in the beginning, when she died in that car crash. She just had to make her death count by saving another life, and making her own matter. Once she did it, the time loop would end. The ending did make me think, but it wasnt deep enough, not like what I expected after seeing the whole thing. I do recommend this movie, and you can watch in a lazy Sunday morning, when you have nothing else to do. 7 stars rating for "Before I Fall".

Alyssa Lynch stars in the film. The main role plays Zoey Dutch. My favourite character is Samantha Kingston because she perfectly describes her painful death. I think teenagers would like this film.

Tim Kerr-Thomson Let's face it. This movie comes across as a remake of "Groundhog Day". Whereas Groundhog Day was a man in his late 30's reevaluating his life in a comedy. This is a young teenage girl re-evaluating her life in a drama. This movie has the standard teenage angst and coping with maturing, school, people, parents and life. But without the usual "it's my parents fault" idea. If you can get over the obvious Groundhog Day similarity's it's not a bad movie and worth a watch.

rgreen7360-849-811928 I was wafting back and forth, almost hooked, although I knew the entire time this was a cheaper version of "Groundhog Day," but it was slowly beginning to sway me towards thinking the writer and director had a different take on the "same day over and over genre," which was worth watching. Then at the last second, the horrifically bad ending showed just how 2nd rate the film really is. What a horrible, I must repeat super horrible ending which completely tanked this film. On the bright side the acting by Zoey Deutch, who single-handedly carried the film was extremely well played. Watch it, just to see how not to end a film. And yes I still gave it a generous 6, because till that last second, it was almost very good. Till that last brainless second.
