I saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

A young man and woman meet on a train in Europe, and wind up spending one evening together in Vienna. Unfortunately, both know that this will probably be their only night together. Before Sunrise is a drama, romance that was just horrible i mean i kept watching and watching expecting for something big to happen but even the romantic part was just not even there at all. I didn't like any of the perfomances and definitely not any of the characters and i really don't get how it's even ranked on the Top 250 movies of all time it's not that good. (0/10)

maybe a SPOILER ALERT(not sure yet)...I have seen a couple of hundred of movies, but this very first time I started writing my first ever review for a film.I was so touched and seduced and at the same time I was identified myself with this movie, that I almost saw me in Ethan Hawke's face...All these wonderings about the future, all these searches for our answers in the philosophical questions that we put during our early adult life, our seek for a woman or a man (respectively)that will understand our demons, our passions, our weaknesses, our wantings, our problem of difference about how we see life and how the rest of the people do, this desire to get to know a person without her/him making quick/wrong deductions about ourselves and of her/him listening carefully and with fully interest of what we have to say,ALL THESE SPECIAL THINGS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ROMANTIC WITH A REALISTIC WAY FILM that gives you the opportunity of emphasizing that you have to seek and find your girl or boy that entirely has the same joy for exploring the life and love. Also a remarkable message from this movie is that in whatever they did in their journey, they did it while they were talking about interesting philosophical stuff or relevant life experiences, that's why these things that they did would be unforgettable and significant for them!!!!! CONGRATULATION to the whole crew that made this movie a reality and that we have this gem today!!!

This film is an average focus on women as objects of desire who are badgered into being complicit. I encourage new viewers to see it in the light of the Harvey Weinstein story. The film is devoted to a persistent male suitor who ignores repeated refusals, and finally, with the winking help of a bartender, resorts to getting his object of desire drunk enough to stop resisting.Linklater was much more honest with his film Tape, which covered a similar issue from the woman's perspective. It will be interesting to see if the film drops in popularity. If it remains a popular "romance," there is little point to legislating sexual harassment. We get what the majority believe is the way men and women should respect each other.

Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy meet in this critically acclaimed feature presently at time of writing sat at no.214 on IMDb's top 250 movies. They meet, they chat and that's basically the concept of the film.I'm all for "Talkies" but when they have a plot, a purpose, an aim. This seems to lack that and all the core basics a movie must have such as a beginning a middle and an end.Performances are great, the movie is visually appealing but that's as far as it personally goes for me.It's like 90 minutes of having a camera in the Big Brother house and just listening to them waffle on. Only difference is that here the subjects are capable of using words with more than 2 syllable's and aren't desperate Z list celebrity wannabes.Boring, lifeless and I simply don't see the appeal. Out of morbid curiosity I'm sure I'll get round to seeing it's 2 sequels but since I watched Sharknado 2 & 3 that's really not saying much.
