Reviews

Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
2freensel I saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.
Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
mistymountain I'm only giving this film five stars mainly because key elements are missing. First, there was no Sule, Eda or Ercumen here. Second, Esra's in this film, and i thought she was killed off. And of course third, Behzat was not wearing his trademark leather black jacket. I don't know why people are calling this a longer version of the series. If you watch the TV show, each episode is pretty much 90 mins. if not longer, and this movie was about 12 mins. shorter than episode 21. I would say this is pretty much like watching the TV show, except the swear words haven't been bleeped out, since this is a theatrical film, and you see more people smoking, since they cant do it in the TV show, as well as more bed scenes with Esra and Behzat. Esra even takes off her underwear, but still has her shoes on in bed, and you see Behzat pulling up his pants. I believe this is the first of two "spinoff" movies, according to wikipedia. In this film, someone is kidnapping people and burying them alive six feet under in the cemeteries. This causes Behzat to have continuous nightmares about digging up graves hoping that his dead daughter may still be alive. Harun has to show some tough love to his boss, when he has to hit Behzat over the head, after Behzat grabs and hugs a young girl wearing a red dress and resembling Berna. Harun then takes the unconscious captain to the cemetery. Behzat wakes up on Berna's grave, where he realizes that Berna is really dead. Behzat is his usual casanova self here, not only is he sleeping with the prosecutor, Esra, he falls for a young police psychologist, who reminds him of his daughter, who decides to get intimate with Behzat. They start making love until he sees Berna's ghost. If you do decide to watch this film, stay tuned because after the closing credits, there's a "surprise" bonus. :D
csaltun I just watched movie after waiting for months. As I am a Behzat Ç. series fan, I need to say that the movie is not good as I expected. Its just a longer version of what we see on TV, so even I can not call this as a movie. Similar to its TV version, the weakest point is the screenplay. They just wrote a simple screenplay and decked it out with acting, slang etc. Besides its negative points, the performance of Erdal Beşikçioğlu is noticeable again. Honestly I am not happy with the movie and looking for new season on TV to decide to follow or quit watching it.
saykomatrixx Sorry guys. Just in the name of honesty, I as a big fan of this TV-Series expected more of this movie. Sure the concept of the series affected the atmosphere and the fans expectations but in reality nothing changed. This was a longer version of the series. The differences are; first you hear all the slang and dirty talk and second more humor is added to movie. Main goal of this movie was to make a crime and drama but it's course was changed way too much. Although you can watch it in the name of series but watching a movie is different form TV version. You wait for a shocking moment or just in an instant everything changes and you are surprised, yeah? This movie is not surprising or shocking at all. So who are looking for a different taste (like me) gets a little disappointed. Humor does not cover up for all the movie. But as a fan you get the minimum satisfaction and your hunger gets bigger and bigger for much more. Good to watch but not enough, i think...
brf-1907 I guess the script was not as well written as the series version somehow we sensed that we were watching the TV series version and it felt like the movie was unfinished. Although i would recommend this movie to all those behzat ç -lovers . Violence and sexuality were not that harsh but yeah usage of slang was kinda too much ( maybe because we were not used to it in the series). I hated the fact that an ex-model was in the movie it was obvious that the attempt was for making the movie popular but we liked the series just because it was not out of popular culture! It was good enough to pass the time till the series begin :)
