Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

subxerogravity Bending the Rules was one of these pictures I herd only bad things about. People would give it a 3 or a 4 or something. Then I see the movie and I got to say I was entertained and that's what it was all about.They should rename The Edge The Charisma, cause he totally has it. It's one of those things where I know him as a heel (bad guy) in the ring, but in the movie he has the nicest persona, and I love to see the range in people who I only know one side of. He's no Rock, but he's good enough to carry a small movie that needs that spark. Plus it's hilarious hearing that deep Canadian accent coming out of a guy whose suppose to be playing a New Orleans cop.Jamie Kennedy is definitely the weaker link of the somewhat buddy cop movie thing going on here. Kennedy plays a district attorney trying to put the Edge's character in jail for being a bad cop. Then they end up having to team up to find a car that leads to a bigger crime. Kennedy is the jerk in the relationship, and he plays it too well. Even thought he's at a bad point in his life with his wife leaving him and not getting the promotion he wants, and all his colleagues hating him for not being able to bend the rules, but I never fully feel sorry for Kennedy. He never really shows his redeemable qualities. He starts a jerk and ends still being a jerk. May not be all his fault, as that is what the character is suppose to be but it does put a little more work on The Edge to be likable.It's a good story about the Edge doing detective work going around trying to solve a crime and interacting with interesting characters in New Orleans and it's a good movie for that. Kennedy does not hurt the movie but does not help it either.Very fun to watch, and after watching, hearing what I herd I give it a 6, but it maybe a 5.http://cinemagardens.com

Santhosh Kumar Just saw this, liked it. Although could have improved on the action scenes (shoot-out) and mainly the plot. Jamie Kennedy's role would have been done way much better if it had gone to John Getz (20 years back) or Jon Lovitz. But nevertheless Jamie did a nice job. Adam Edge Copeland went through the film as if he had long tenure of previous experiences and i was surprised to find this is one of his first movies in leading role. Liked him very much in this role, hoping for more. This movie reminds me of late 80's and early 90's cop movies such as "hard way". Jennifer Esposito and Elena Lyons looked hot. Kevin Weisman, Philip Baker Hall and Jessica Walter did a nice job and will remain in my mind for at least a year. I am definitely going to recommend this to my friends.

Binoy Santhakumar (bonzybino) The launch Vehicle for Adam "The Edge" Copeland blows bad, neither thrilling nor dramatic it just turns out to be another dumb squib from WWE house ; Condemned and Marine were much better ones. With a wafer thin plot-line which unfolds quite dumb straight, it fails to keep us engaged, let alone enthrall us. The saving grace might be those goofy comical scenes with Edge and Jamie albeit many of them were so numby. The mystery did draw our attention at regular intervals which were all hindered by those inane stumbling sub plots which i found rather irritating.I admit, it was a treat to watch Edge with a character persona which really suited him, the stylish mannerisms, the walk and the funny one-liners which were all helped by some good background score, duhhh, but all goes haywire right from the word go. If u a big fan of "The Edge" u might find it watchable, others please don't bother to drop by unless its on TV, and that too if you haven't got anything else on TV!!

rightwingisevil this is the first movie produced by wwe that i think is NOT BAD only but pretty good instead. the screenplay chose big-easy new orlean as the locale was a nice touch, it allowed us to have the opportunity to see some of the beautiful houses in the better neighborhood of new orlean where hurricane katrina luckily didn't destroy. those houses and the front yards are just wordlessly beautiful! love it! Adam Copeland (Edge) who played the maverick cop did a nice and natural performance in this film. but i have to say that Jamie Kennedy who played the tight-arse asst. d.a. actually saved the whole movie. he performed extremely well in this movie. watching him suffered so much and so many tormented moments in this movie almost made the audiences pity him. there were some dialog that was so funny to reflect adam copeland's real marriage history: divorced twice, just like the role he played, the dialog made him say that he already got two ex and he know what his nemesis asst. d.a. said about the divorce and the limited time to visit kids. a dialog subtly matching the real life of a character was indeed a nice touch. i kinda enjoyed this movie except the ending seemed to be a bit rush and forced.
