Ameriatch One of the best films i have seen
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Ogosmith Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
jemmahatton I'm not a big fan of creature feature films, but being a fan of Chris Sun's other films, and being a big Nathan Jones fans (also spending a lot of time in Kandanga as well) I had to check this movie out (especially after following the story of its filming on Facebook) and I loved every minute of it. Chris did a great job of capturing outback Aussie culture, and he did an excellent job of making an enjoyable movie that I'm likely to watch numerous times, just like Charlie's Farm or Daddy's Girl.I want to see what Chris can do with a huge Hollywood style budget because his movies so far have been amazing.
nebk Boar is a cliched horror that starts off badly and goes downhill from there. It takes place in the Australian outback where a monster boar the size of a rhino is killing and devouring the inhabitants. And if the story sounds familiar it's because it rips off the premise from the movie Razorback from 1984. And yet in comparison Razorback is a vastly superior film. The acting is mostly mediocre although there are a few known Australian actors who try their best (John Jarrat, Roger Ward etc) but can't do much with the script and the dialogue. The story is just plain bad and the effects are worse. There is no suspense and the story is dijointed and gets more boring and unbelievable as the movie progresses. There is some humor thrown in and it may produce a chuckle or two but then again the movie is a joke so that's no surprise.
russellsmll 100% one of the BEST movies I've seen, definitely in my favorites list, Everything about BOAR was epic, Chris Sun has once again delivered a great story, great direction & great cast, I love the Charlie's Farm reference (another awesome Chris Sun movie). Cant wait to see more from Chris in the future, he is definitely leading the way in Australian film
fi-mackie I have been following this very talented man since his first movie and they just keep getting better! A stunning cast, Simone Buchanan was a stand out but I LOVED Bill Mosley and Nathan Jones equally. The story and characters are quintessential Australians. All the interactions and the dialogue were true blue. Could there have been more gore? Probably but still a very enjoyable movie.
