Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
ChicDragon It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
Bea Swanson This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
FlashCallahan Jerry and Nick are two friends whose love lives have become non-existent. To escape their troubles and find love, they book a trip on board a cruise- liner, unaware the travel agent has just played a trick on them in retaliation for Nick offending his secret gay lover. It's a cruise-liner for gay men to meet and mingle. Slowly but surely, the two main characters begin to realise that they have been duped.....What is it with Cuba Gooding Jr's. agent? has he had come kind of vendetta against him? Because since As Good As It Gets (Ironic Title), his filmography has fallen quicker than an apple from the tree. This is pretty much the lowest denominator in humour, making a comedy about sexual orientation and the fear factor ignorant heterosexuals feel when a gay person is in their vicinity. So instead of doing what any person with common would do, tell the Captain that there has been some terrible mistake, and try to enjoy the holiday as best as they can, they decide to act like they are in some kind of Die Hard situation.Oh look, that man just looked at me in a funny way, i'm going to run away, isn't that hilarious!! Oh guess what, i'm going to pretend that i'm gay to this beautiful woman, because deception is the height of romance!!How my sides split. And then to top it all off, we have everyone's favourite eyebrow raising Brit in the form of Sir Roger Moore, slumming it as the ships biggest queen.Ironically, he keeps a straight face throughout, or maybe, like Cuba's character, the writers deceived him as to what he was appearing in.Or maybe he wanted to be paid to go on a holiday.I really hope the latter is true. It's pretty terrible, the laughs never happen, but it's just, and I mean just worth seeing to see just how embarrassed Cuba looks. That's Academy Award winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr.
tacaloking i have to say people who say this is insulting to gays i feel are not looking deep enough i feel the movie is more a joke as to how the medie sees gays and really because of that many have some views on gays similar to it are people looking to burn them alive no but many might think just because they are gay they want to screw every guy they see or they are so obviously gay you can spot them out of a crowd and this movie makes fun of the very idea that this is true every thing it does it to show how laughably sad the idea is and many times in the movie they show that many in this movie are normal guys who just happen to like guys and all the extreme personalitys are used to show how insane the idea that that is a conman thing gay man do it hits so many nails on the head and even the one flaw i saw was the swim suit models while i did find it insanely hot and it usely takes more then that to turn me on i felt it was out of place the rest of the movie was ether about romance or about making fun or showing how the worlds view on gays really is then you have those scenes that only point is to give the friend a girlfriend but besides that i laugh many times and i the idea was so genius that it went over many peoples head all saw from it was a insulting movie to gays while i feel it shows nothing but love for them by making fun of a image that no longer truly stands but its what many see to this day when a image of a gay man pops up in their head
kirk-246 'Boat Trip' is a sometimes funny movie filled with extremely vulgar moments that will make you cringe and probably giggle. It's an hour and a half of gross out humor, stereotypes of homosexuals, and entertainment.Nothing more, nothing less. The premise revolves around two best friends who try to go on a cruise so one of them will forget the fact that he just got dumped. After one of them insults a man, he books them on a cruise that they will never forget. He sets them on a gay cruise! I would not want to be one of those guys.I find 'Boat Trip' to be an extremely underrated comedy. The low rating on IMDb (which happens to be a 4.6) is just ridiculous.Come on people, this is a funny movie with a very interesting premise and even one of the guys who played James Bond plays a gay man on the ship. How could you not find Roger Moore playing a gay guy funny or at least something that sounds interesting.Maybe I'm just losing my touch with the outside world.Or maybe it's the people who don't like this movie who simply don't understand how to enjoy movies like 'Boat Trip'.It may not be Oscar worthy, but it certainly doesn't deserve a golden razz berry award for worst film.
cybercuke Hey, it sure wasn't Masterpiece Theatre but I laughed so hard I cracked a rib. TONS of low-brow humor! Every offensive stereotype in the book. Not a "Politically Correct" moment in the whole freakin' movie. I loved it! Very much in the spirit of all those old early-eighties sex comedies. Two guys, one just out of a bad relationship and his obnoxious, oversexed best pal, try to get away on a singles cruise. They end up insulting their travel agent who sends them on a gay cruise out of spite.(Don't worry; lots of hot chicks show up anyhow!) It's one part "Birdcage" mixed with two parts "Porky's".If you're into comedies of manners, you might wanna take a pass on this one. But if you're sick of over-polished, politically correct crap, you might want to check it out.
