Yogibearz First of, this is not a movie that will have you have faith in humanity.. It is the grittiest kind of story....it is raw, like experiencing a truly macabre experiance..I'm not going to lie, it made me sick to my stomach ( probably more so by the era and the circumstances) but the story told was well executed...actors did the story justice and the cinemaraphy was amazing! I'm dumbfound by the metacritic and rottentomatoes reviews..then again, to not trust a bunch of "high brow" d-bags that are more concerned with how much is left in their wino bagNbox!

areatw It's impossible for anybody to say that they 'enjoyed' this film, because there's nothing at all to enjoy. It's a dark, bleak and utterly depressing film from the first scene to the last. What makes 'Brimstone' worth watching is its gripping storyline, first rate cinematography and fascinating bunch of character. It has the feel of a high end, expensive production and is difficult to fault in a technical sense.'Brimstone' is brutal and uncompromising in its approach and features no end of violence and torment. This contributes to a tense and depressing atmosphere which remains throughout the film. A lot of people will be put off by this alone, and I wouldn't recommend watching this film if you aren't in the mood for something emotionally deep and powerful. Those who give it a chance though are rewarded with a very well made film with a gripping storyline that, despite the truly miserable tone, is definitely worth your time.

jamiefreeman16 This is one of the most sickening, disgusting movies I have ever seen in my life. I couldn't even get half way through the movie without getting sick to my stomach. Very disappointed. The actors were good, but the story line is disturbing.

giovannadiniz Not bad, not good. it is a good drama, but with many flaws. dakota and guy are great actors, but i find the plot appealing TOO MUCH. about kit harington: the impression is that they put him in the cast just to fill sausage, unfortunately nothing had to add useful to the plot.
