Carson (Ashley Benson) leads the West Coast Sharks against her nemesis Brooke (Cassie Scerbo) and the East Coast Jets. Jets have won three years in a row. The Jets are precise while the Sharks are daring. Carson falls for flirtatious Penn (Michael Copon) who turns out to be a Jet. The Sharks are given the Spirit Stick but somebody steals it. The rivals get into an off-campus cheer off resulting in many injuries. To field a complete team, they have to combine forces and work together.Ashley Benson is a fine actress but Hilary Duff lite actually hurts. I like Michael Copon's brash arrogance. Ashley Tisdale has a small cameo. The rest of the cast is either forgettable or simply bad. The adult characters are beyond bland. The writing isn't helping anyone either. The superficial referencing of West Side Story only gives a veneer of respectability. This is a former interesting franchise that has gone to straight-to-video hell.

Similar to the other cheerleader Bring It On Movies, there was plenty of back flips. Similar to "All Or Nothing," two rival groups come together and end up winning it all. There was also a crush that turned out to be a happy ending in this movie. Isn't it ironic that the main characters in the movie just happened to be the cheerleaders who didn't get hurt and went home on the bus injured before the final competition. And that Spirit Stick curse! That was all in their minds. It was confusing that two teams on the same camp were rivals, but they still competed against another camp. I can't wait for the next installment of the "Bring It On" series. Maybe the plot won't be predictable.

Bring it on: in it to win it. Where do I start? I think the two main characters Brooke and Carson did a really good job of their acting, and played the parts the best they could. I bought this as soon as it came on because I am a great Bring it on fan, the first time I watched it I was very disappointed and was tempted to give it a 1 out of 10. One of the big errors I think is when they had a truth out type thing which basically ruined all the characters and those type of characters made the first, second and third a instant classic. E.g the gay,the goth and the black girl with attitude and it just ruined that. Another mistake that you start to notice is that some of the cheerleaders in the Jets and the Sharks are in there mid thirties!! I thought Chelsea's (Jennifer Tisdale) performance was terrible she was also way to old to be a cheerleader ditz and stuck out like a sore thumb from all the tanned and toned other cheerleaders. Its one of these movies that you have to watch a few times to like it.

I have seen all four of the Bring It On Movies and this was by far the worst one yet. The actress who plays Carson was the best in the movie and the other girls were barely tolerable to watch... a waste of a trip to blockbuster if you ask me.The plot is set out to be a modern day version of The West Side story, with the two sides coming together to succeed in the end. But bad acting, writing and costumes (these girls are young, but having them wearing two small of shorts resulting in "muffin top" is ridiculous) ruins the movie in the end. No wonder it was a straight to DVD film. Jennifer Tisdale should be ashamed of herself for choosing a part in this movie. She is too old to be playing the high school cheerleader ditz. It might be time to move onto a new career and leave the success to her little sister.
