SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?

Boring, long, and too preachy.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

Jennifer (Jennifer Fraser) is a bubbly lovable sociopath who likes to film stuff. She wants to film killing someone from the planning phase all the way through the body disposal. Her boyfriend/husband? Farhang (Farhang Ghajar) who is a Persian Ethiopian, or something, goes along with it, as the things we do for love. He has second thoughts and is pushed when he gets cold feet. This is a hand held feature by a couple who spends big bucks for a camera and won't invest in a cheap tripod so they can both chop up a body or dig a grave together. The film is a dark comedy and not as overtly funny as "Psychos in Love." You won't find yourself laughing (hopefully) but will be looking at the complexity of love and human nature. The problem was that the movie was low budget and the filming was bad as if to prove a point. Just because a hand held camera element is in the film, doesn't mean the entire film has to be a hand held camera and shot poorly. We can get the idea if we see someone filming someone else with an occasional view from their camera. I got a deal on E-Bay where the tripod came with the camera. I bet that guy is on Amazon too.6 soft stars for the subject matter. The actual quality of the production lacked merit.Guide: F-word. Sex. No nudity.

Capture Kill Release is a fascinating movie. I don't know if I'll ever re-watch it, but I think I'll remember it pretty clearly. It doesn't start off with a bang, but it builds and hooks interest pretty well. I can imagine if this were a bigger budget, and had more studio control, they would want to start it off with a bit of the future to whet the audience's appetite.A large amount of time is spent getting sucked into conversations and preparation for killing a person. The logistical talks, buying equipment. There's even a test, using a saber saw on chunks of meat to see how well it performs. This is a pleasant change of pace. We see lots of horror movies where the killer has some chamber of horrors already prepared, hanging hooks and implements of torture laid out. But this is more of an exploration of the steps needed to reach that state. That may sound boring, but it brings a level of realism and humanity to the movie that is much more disturbing. We are able to identify with the characters - at least for a while. Our primary window into this movie is through the husband, who starts off fairly interested in this project, but realizes the reality of what is happening pretty quickly. His interest in killing is romanticized by movies, where the victims might not have a defined identity. He brings this up; he's bothered when she keeps referring to their victim by name.Throughout the movie, I thought I knew how things were going to end. Instead, the last few minutes kept reinforcing what I was expecting, only to subvert it at the last second. As many people have mentioned, there is the death of a cat in this movie. It is distressing, but it's also needed in order to move things forward. It could have been done a different way, but I'm not sure if it would have been effective. To be fair, it's handled quickly, and not graphically.

I downloaded this movie last night from the play store. I really wasn't expecting much but it was really well made. The female lead is a truly scary character. She puts forth a weird sexuality mixed with this evil desire. Her partner is a hapless loser, that you feel for. I pulled up the cast and was a little surprised they don't have more than a one other credit. Maybe they are acting in commercials? The movie is a great little film. It was obviously filmed on a shoestring budget but don't let that turn you off. I enjoyed the acting and the little bits of humour thrown here and there. I don't usually like the "found footage, first person filming" style, but this time it actually worked. If you get a chance have a little bit of time to kill on an evening, give it a try.

honestly, I'm a huge horror, slasher, thriller etc movie buff. I love me a good old fashion disturbing tail told through the eyes of an even more disturbed story teller.THIS movie had me locked in from the opening scene right to the ending credits. It's not your typical found footage film, there are so many layers and I really truly hope to see more from these writers/directors in the near future! MUST SEE! cheers
