Lumsdal Good , But It Is Overrated By Some
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Jerrie It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
ihrtfilms I watched this recently for the fact that it was on and I was bored. I am not a Celine Dion fan in the slightest, but as a fly on the wall documentary that follows Dion on her world tour, I thought it might prove interesting. This is very much in the same vein as In Bed With Madonna, the behind the scenes doco that followed Madonna around during her Blond Ambition Tour. However, the similarities stop there and you are certainly not going to see Celine Dion give a water bottle a blow job. The takes her from South Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Along the way we see plenty of concert footage and there are lots of action behind the scenes: meet and greets with fans, cast & crew dinners, throat problems and sickness, birthdays and much more. If you are a Celine fan, the concert footage will be enjoyable and I admit she certainly does have a voice. The rest is quite interesting, there are moments that show touring builds bonds and relationships, such as where one of her dancers leaves the show: there are also some nice family moments with her husband and child. However, much of it seemed a little staged for the camera, such as Celine singing to a young black South African girl, who looked very uncomfortable and some of the fan meets which were a little scary often gave the impression that Dion was bored senseless, but perhaps doing that sort of thing time and time again must become a little repetitive. I'm sure that this film would appeal more if you have a liking of Celine Dion without that it's mildly entertaining, but it's difficult to view it without thinking of the hysterical youtube video: Celine Dion is still amazing.more of my reviews at my site iheartfilms.weebly.com
