Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
Borgarkeri
A bit overrated, but still an amazing film

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Sanjeev Waters
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

I think that this was a fairly impressive animation, being something genuinely creepy but fascinating to watch at the same time.In my opinion, the strongest moment from this short was the beginning, which was a done in a fake-documentary style, giving this an eerie, yet mesmerizing feeling, capturing my interest from the very first minute. The animation style was pretty well done, having an excellent balance of realism and stylization, not to mention the great atmosphere and inherent beauty of each scene, despite of the dark subject matter. It even managed to have a brief glimpse of humor (In one particularly stylish sequence where the main characters "transform" in superheroes) "Chernokids" is a pretty underrated short, which is able to deal with a disturbing plot in a subtle and beautiful manner. I really liked every single aspect from it and I would recommend it to any viewer. But keep in mind that this is definitely NOT aimed at kids...Even when the main characters are children.

In Ukraine, three deformed orphans decide to visit their mother. The first one has several eyes on his head and a disgusting fish in his aquarium; the second has deformed legs; the third one has two heads. They walk to a Nuclear Power Plant that they believe is their mother. However they are rescued and brought back to the orphanage where a boy with deformed teeth mocks them all."Chernokids" is a dark view of the use of nuclear energy. This bizarre short with the three boys visiting their mother is impressive and also heartbreaking. It is available in Internet (http://vimeo.com/38674482). My vote is eight.Title (Brazil): "Chernokids"
