It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

This movie was probably the very first thing I've added to my watchlist. I'm not sure why I haven't watched it until now. I've seen the trailer thousands of times and watched behind the scenes videos and so on.. but I've always been scared of actually watching it. Well, for anyone still not sure- WATCH THIS MOVIE. It's an amazing, unique, masterpiece. It is definitely in my top 10, or even top 5. It's long and follows many storylines but never feels choppy. The acting is excellent. The best part is the way the storylines all work and connect together. I love this movie. And I love the ideas it represents. It will require multiple rewatches. There are, of course, some flaws- it's not the best. But really, the only flaw of the movie is that it should have been longer. It's only an eight for now because it feels a little short. Please, watch this movie- you won't regret it.

I just finished watching it on BR .. on a rather small screen . and i can only imagine how it should have looked on the big screen.This movie is amazing .. and i find it hard to put it into words. The story is hard to get at first (that is when you watch it without having read or listened to any synopsis or summary before) .. it is a series of impressions that are very hard to connect.
But slowly they all come together .. with rather little exposition.Acting is spot on .. as in .. superb (well there is quite a lot of star power in the cast) but also the story / writing is amazing. There is a tranquility, a thoughfulness about the movie that is positively intoxicating.It is one of those movies that .. once they end .. make you think .. not so much about the story or the movie itself, but about yourself, your time, "you in history". It has quickly ascended to one of my favourite .. and i will certainly watch it again.. and maybe there will be a chance to watch it on the big screen some time. 10/10 .. absolutely recommended!

Amazing movie. I finally got most of all the details after my 3rd viewing. You ave to be smart and watch, listen to every detail or you won't get it. Very rare where you can get so much more from a movie after watching it several times. The acting, what can you say, no better. The casting 100%. Creating the different time periods, amazing. The make up & wardrobe was great. It is definitely a movie for average to very smart people. It demands your attention all the time because if you miss one little part of the movie and don't follow all the detail you will miss how to put it all together. In my mind one of the best Original masterpieces of all time. And I have watched 1.000 of movies. & am picky. 10+ For Me., It's a Keeper.

There's times in your life, when you start losing hope, and feeling quite lost, but then Cloud Atlas comes at the right moment, just to remind you what life is all about.While confusing at first, drifting from one story to another, it might seem like a total mess, thus the low ratings from many people, but as you dig deeper and deeper into the movie, you quickly realize that there's not one, but six different timelines, that is six different movies to watch in just three hours, without a single second being rushed. Did I mention there's six characters played by the one and only, Tom Hanks?
So, should you watch it?If only there was a time machine that would allow me to travel three hours back, and relive the whole experience again and again.Short answer: yes! Long answer: why are you still reading? Go watch it already!(Also I apologize for any typo's, I'm 17 and English is not my native language).
