Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Tyreece Hulme One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Ahmed Gamal No doubt this movie is a class A movie. Personally, I am a huge enthusiast of President Sadat and the way I see it the movie was neither long nor boring. Ahmed Zaki did what he have to do show quick snippets of the very interesting life of President Sadat and he did it in such a way to keep the viewer interested and at the same time learn more about President Sadat. If for anything, I think there was more to be said about President Sadat but it would have just been a very very long documentary. Yet everything about the movie is just right and its very clear that there has been a huge research done prior to this production which projected on the movie. May you rest in peace President Sadat and the same goes to Ahmed Zaki.
amrsaleh unfortunately, this movie has lacked good preparation rush was clear in every set, any director would have found a gear chance to practice his skills in a scene like (the president in war operation room), instead it was a very fast shot, for the president with 5 or 6 generals all gathered around small and dirty table with 2 maps spread on , it looked more like a bunch of thugs preparing to rob a bank. Mirvet amen did not fit in this role at all, she was pale and colorless, personally i found great difficult to imagine her as Johan sedate, it is difficult to keep away her well known history as an actress who gained her fame by performing roles of nakedness and intense sexual seduction, on the contrary Mona zaki was more than excellent she had excellent understanding of the character.
ddaoud Ahmed Zaki's portrayal of President El-Sadat was an unbelievable performance that is so true, you think it's him, capturing the wit, presence and humor of the beloved late President of Egypt. The movie represents an honest, logical and fair representation of the rich life of a person whose decisions affected so many and whose portrayed background served to clarify a lot to many who haven't read unbiased literature on this often misjudged leader.
Ahmed Khaled This movie is a fairly good production, but the real problem is in the script. Films based on true characters should focus on an important period of the character. Unfortunately, this movie was too ambitious trying to tell everything about Sadat in 3 hours (from birth till grave). That's why it showed a lot of twists in rhythm and story flow. It makes you think of a very long documentary. Besides, no perfect character movie can depend entirely on the autobiography of this character. Depending on "Quest for One's Self" the famous Sadat book, was a fatal mistake. That's why the film shows only one face of Sadat, there are no grey zones and no depth. Ahmed Zaki is great as usual and photography (Tarek Telmesany) is superb. This is a movie which is not a masterpiece but no one dares miss it !
