A Brilliant Conflict
Brendon Jones
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Victor DiMattia is wonderful as that little lovable moppet Dennis from funny paper fame. As Dennis is brought to life, the laughs come fast and furiously in this utterly delightful comedy romp. The neighborhood is in an uproar when the tyke finds a dinosaur bone in the yard and a notorious paleontologist is dispatched to investigate. During the resulting did in the tiny dynamo's front garden, all mayhem breaks out and chaos reigns supreme. A stellar cast is uproarious and the direction couldn't be more sharp. Especially observant satire on neighborhood politics and feuds. For anyone who loves kids, dinosaurs, and life.

i seen this poor done comic film.but it would been better if they used a family that wasn't based on nothing.the movie starts as Denise finds a dinosaur bone in his back yard,and a fakewho claims to be a dinosaur hunter comes to stay with the family.and he is real annoying too.the film did not deliver much laughs.the only two funny things in the movie was when Denise tries to sneak that fudge candy to his room and the scene where Mr Wilson's washer overflowed.it would be a better film if it involved a different character.the 93 version was a real one.this one wasn't a Denise the menace at all. and i saw this one 2 or 3 times a month when it was on HBO.

Okay, whenever the children are on screen, the watching children are totally absorbed. But when it's adults mostly, well, the children start to drift, doze off, play with laid out toys, etc. This movie needed lots more of the children ONLY, and the scenes with the adults had to be much, much shorter. But the kids were very good, and I particularly enjoyed the goodbye scene between Dennis (Victor DiMattia) and Joey (Jarrett Lennon) -- it was REAL!!!

You're better off with the 1993's Dennis the Menace. This one was so bad, it make Dennis the Menace: Strikes Back and the 1993 version look like American movie classics. PLEASE AVOID THIS MOVIE AT ALL COSTS!!!! There's much better movies out there than this stupid pile of bones.I give it No Stars
