Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Cissy Évelyne It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
cmcoulter-19193 The first one really got my hopes up for this movie, and I was enjoying all the preview clips. However, this movie really let me down. The music is incredibly standard pop music that's heavily auto-tuned. Seeing real people lip sync to it was jarring. The choreography was good, if a little predictable at times. The high point of the movie for me was the introduction of the character Uma. Her song wasn't great, but it had fierce choreography danced incredibly well by the entire ensemble. Overall, it was very standard. With a premise like this, so much could be done with the characters. Instead we had dramatic friend breakup songs that led to nothing, a horrendous talking dog, and a whole lot of nothing. Boring and not worth the watch.
nicolasnoriegaolazabal I was forced to watch this abomination of a film. It's not the most horrible thing ever, but it's SO BORING! I don't know what rubbed me wrong about this movie, but something in it just ticked me off so badly that I was crying, begging for the movie to end already (it's like 2 freaking hours long). Please, spare yourself the suffering. The plot goes nowhere and I had no idea what was going on half of the time. For example, there is a scene where a dog randomly starts talking for no reason and it lasts 10 minutes and goes nowhere, not to mention now you're stuck with a talking dog that has no place in the movie. Then there's something about the main girl going back to her original home, but her boring boyfriend does't want her to leave... or something. It DRAGSSSSS so much! It just never seems to end.The songs are all boring, forgettable and bland, not to mention their extreme simplicity (there is one song that consists of nothing but one horribly sounding note being played over and over again while the "singer" raps over it with absurd amounts of auto-tune being put over) Please, don't watch this movie, especially when there are the infinitely superior original movies, such as The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, and so on, to watch instead. This is coming from a 15 year-old girl. I know I'm the target demographic, but hey, I'm a weird girl who's into Stanley Kubrick and Prog Rock, so what do I know?
ktillsley Descendants 2, a sequel to the brilliant Descendants shown in 2015. I was glad to see more of the Isle in this film as it shows what surroundings the VKs grew up with. The music to this film was absolutely astonishing and there was no disappointment. It definitely lived up to the first one. Also the costumes were on fleek! I cannot wait to see if there is a descendants number 3 and I would recommend anyone who loves Disney and musicals, especially high school musical, to watch this magnificent film. However there were a few things I was slightly disappointed within the film but nothing that made me dislike the film completely.Katie Illsley x
bkoganbing In the Magic Kingdom I'm sure on the boards are plans for Descendents 3 and 4 or as many as the franchise and the contracts of the young players will allow. For myself I was having the same trouble I did with the first one, reconciling where Oredon and the Isle of the Lost were in relation to this plane of existence. In fact I keep thinking of Oredon as Oregon and maybe we all ought to move out there. The four children of villains Dove Cameron, Booboo Stewart, Sofia Carson, and Cameron Boyce are settling nicely into Oredonian life, but there's a twinge of homesickness. Ready able and willing to take advantage of that twinge is Cameron's old rival Chyna Ann McLain. She gets a hold of the spell book and strange things start happening. The cast is attractive and the principal players talented both musically and dramatically. Descendents 2 is a pleasant bit of viewing.
