FrogGlace In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Mehdi Hoffman There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
Hayleigh Joseph This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.
Irishchatter I don't know why people think Naomi Watts wasn't the best actress in this because she really was! OK in some scenes, she didn't exactly look like Princess Diana but in most scene's she has done! She looked absolutely beautiful by the way!I loved how she had put a 'shy girl' attitude on her character, I have always thought Diana had that in her! Her voice was just so lovely and soft. Any little princess would've loved to have her as a mum! Naveen Andrews was the best actor to play an Indian doctor. He appears to be the person who never tries to slip his own accent. He really made a good job being in character. Some actors would let their own accents take over control when being in character.Bravo to all actors involved :)
jreyna91 I had high expectations for this film. I actually stopped watching halfway through because I found it boring. It didn't pull me in like I expected it too. Some points are interesting and thought provoking, but overall non engaging. There was something about Diana and Hasnat that seemed off, like the chemistry wasn't fully there. It was also extremely slow moving, which was why I stopped halfway through. Also was not that impressed with Naomi Watts' performance. Especially when she's in Africa tending the sick children, all she did was ask what was wrong with them, frowned, and then moved onto the next kid. I'm sure Princess Diana probably did more than that and I wished they had shown that.
sherrilrichardson Hopefully I spelled his name correctly. This movie was about him. His view, his personal choices, his family and the perceived selfishness of his mother that led to their break up. How she died with Dody but wanted "him all along". How the relationship with Dody was fake, because she really wanted him. Come on, nobody cares about this guy, we want the story- beginning to end- Charles....the Royal family...those dynamics- I can't believe these actors signed up for this nonsense. Epic failure for all of them. Diana was a beautiful and discarded woman- this story should reflect all of that- not just a Pakistani heart surgeon she passed some time with.
Westeire please... why do they make these movies. awful. the unnecessary tale of the Princess of Wales' last true love, is a vapid, banal, and superficial exercise in cheap voyeurism. Hirschbeigel says she's a miracle, the screenplay leans toward monster. I wish the film was interesting enough to make a case for both possibilities. This affair hardly plays as being more than the pre-Dodi Fayed footnote it still is today, much less deserving of this grand epic romance treatment given by the filmmakers. Cheap movie. If you are going to make a film about the late Princess of Wales, you are obviously going to choose the guy who directed "Downfall," about the last days of Hitler, and the actress who played opposite King Kong.
