Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
Softwing Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
lm42 I think this is my favorite Tyler Perry movie! It's good for anyone with a heart for romance, comedy & conflict resolution. And to think it's almost 10 years old from when I'm writing this review. Tyler Perry was/is so ahead of his time & in-tune with the pulse on a movie market which has been ignored for so long. The film has romance, comedy,a message about forgiveness along with conflict and resolution! It made me cry, it made me laugh and while I think it's a strong 'chick' flick it still has great male role models as well forgiving the selfish butt heads of the world. I love the dynamic tension between those we love, those we use, those we hate as well as those we forgive. The good guys win and the bad guys are redeemed, but not before their lesson is learned. I've seen this film a dozen times and can't wait to see it again!
lysamher its funny how the ratings for all the madeas movies are sooo low but the movies are sooo funny.. i will tell you. madea is not for everyone.. its either u love madea or u hate madea.. if you enjoy his movies, you will enjoy all of them. honestly, i am Asian and i believe a lot of the people who gave all the madea movies one star are probably all or majority of them are white. excuse me not just white but racist white folks that probably got offended. if you look at the reviews, a lot of them have 8, 9 or 10 stars but its the 1'z that bring the rating below what it should be. i think the majority of the madeas movies would range from at least 6 to 8 stars if it weren't for those that rated it a 1 because they were offended.
Z DDT I didn't know what to expect. I'd heard mixed things, mostly from non-film types. This movie was really bad. I couldn't get past the first 20 minutes. The writing was dreadful. I want to say the acting was dreadful - but I don't think the actors had much to work with.TP's movies have attained some financial success. I think this can be attributed to a devoted black audience. Which I completely understand. There aren't many writer/directors in the world, and if one happens to be black, and makes movies about black life in America, he's going to attract a black audience. But overall, Tyler Perry is just not a very talented writer. But he may have future as an actor.
hassdossa This has got to be easily one of the top notch movies I've ever seen and that is NOT an over-statement. I mean it was so riveting, so moving I don't even know where to begin... It could be that it caught me off-guard considering I had nothing better to do on a Sunday night while browsing through my channels looking for something decent to watch? Or maybe it was one of those damn good smack-bang in the face eye-opening reality checks that defines a truly GREAT picture. Variety was found in every sense of the word in this movie. The characters, for starters, carried a very raw emotional appeal delivering with conviction throughout the film, without being overly dramatic, always keeping the audience seated. Along with a unique and meaningful story which held its ground and never lost track, even if you're not the soft and sentimental type its OK because the comedy is such a riot it will definitely break the ice and send you thru. Though, what I found most enlightening about this film, for ALL it's worth, is that it gives you the most inspiring and beautiful message about forgiveness and change from which you shall find value, gratitude and significance in your life, just to say the least. Be prepared to discover a new feel, but most importantly, be prepared to ENJOY!
