christiankemp-10342 I wasn't sure what to expect with this movie. It starts out in a beautiful city, Kansas City, home to BBQ and great music. The story is told from the viewpoint of two sisters and they sure do seem like sisters. The ups and downs keep the movie moving along. The great performances by the many cameo roles and big stars in this movie is another bonus. I loved the music, especially "Moon River", that is great rendition of that song. This is a great find and I would recommend.
pookypuppy I heard about this movie from a friend and decided to check it out. I am glad I did. My family watched it over break and there was something in this movie for everyone. The detail and care the director went to made this such an enjoyable film for everyone. Grandma Mildred, Shelley Long, was delightful in this movie. The setting in a farm town was very fun to watch. All the characters added so much to each scene; I want to go to the diner!! It is a story that captures you from the first scene and you want to see it to the end because each scene holds something new and interesting. I give it a thumbs up and will watch it again on Showtime.
swifewife This movie was an inspired movie that I thoroughly enjoyed. First time director, Dameron, allowed all the characters to reach their potential throughout the movie. The story of the two sisters coming together in a time of need is refreshing and full of girl power. There are so many delightful cameo roles in this movie that I watched it twice to catch all the fun scenes with the likes of; Shelley Long, Rob Mayes, Sterling Knight, Steve Agee, Romy Rosemont, and Sean Gunn. Each add their own wonderful presence to an already solid film. I loved the scenery and felt like I was taken back to my Midwest roots filled with the farm, countryside and good people you encounter there. The music in this movie is another positive. I was amazed how this independent film was able to garner such great music and use it to inspire this already beautiful story. I have sisters and I have already planned to give them a download code for a holiday gift. Well done and a movie worth repeat watching.
benminett05 Emma Bell and Hope Lauren's portrayal of sisters Millie and Emma's tumultuous relationship is purely delightful. The film, set mostly in the mid-west is warm, charming and relatable. Given a bigger budget and longer to tell the story I think this film could have been a cult hit. It left me smiling and wanting more from the two main characters. A perfect easy watch for a Sunday afternoon.
