Far from Perfect, Far from Terrible
Myron Clemons
A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Maybe I shouldn't take this too seriously, but this film is pretty much a waste of time. This is despite the casting of George Lam and Ching Li. The film is about Fen, who hangs out with four total losers who are in "Macho Man" tank tops and what happens. Ching Li plays Selina, who is a commercial director who hires him. She looks very good in this film, but I wish she wasn't in it. There are many earlier films that she was so much better in, for instance "The Mermaid". If you liked disco, you may find a few things amusing about this, but its clearly a product of this time and didn't even interest me as a relic of a (thankfully) by gone era. Despite Ching Li and George Lam, skip this.
