Softwing Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Vyth This film was horrible... I really don't get it at all, why the raving about it?? what am I missing?? It's not like I'm an Action film fan or anything, I go Art-house over Hollywood 6 days outa 7, but this... Christ it was Garbage... The music was cool, yes, for now.. give it two years and it will sound terrible.. its just the nature of Dance music to do so... There was no acting and there was no plot.. Loser with no musical talent wants to be DJ, and somehow gets to sit down with a handful of A-list Dj's for beers and advice... There was no flow, just jumping from inexplicable encounter to inexplicable encounter, the Acting throughout was sub par for student work.. and the dialogue seemed to be all impromptuSPOILER- At one point our main character is auditioning for a DJ spot at a club (looks like the Space Terrace Ibiza, but might be anywhere..) he plays an Elvis record... no beats layed on top.., no remix J-XL style just an old Elvis record.. and rather than boot his lame ass onto the street the promoter tells him he'll give him another try, but he's gotta update his style????? WTFGarbage.. Avoid like the goddamn plague.
gregorysgardner I sneaked a peek at this last night, and had a ball. The international DJ scene is explored from the fish lens of a British transplant in South Beach. The lead character is a bit of a hound dog, but it's all in good fun, and the music is a gas. I liked the way the filmmakers incorporated fantasy and reality, and were unafraid to use sexuality shamelessly, without becoming a cheesy excuse for depicting soft-core porn. A lot of actual DJ's were introduced, but their personalities were not as fully explored as I would have enjoyed, but I got a taste of the scene. Jacobs is quite a character, and I hope to see him more often. HEY DJ rocks a medium that has become altogether too flaccid.
hiddenplace81 This movie will be the groundbreaking movie for the star, Fysche. Watch out! She's an up and coming actress. This movie is full of twists and spins. The movie is just a great one to have fun on a Friday night. Sit back and Enjoy!! ~ Vespy
starchild17 i was very fortunate to catch a viewing of this movie, and i must say that i was highly impressed with this movie. the acting in it is great, especially that of the relatively unknown "fysche." she really lit up the screen, and if this is an inkling of the talent she has, the silver screen better get ready for the arrival of FYSCHE!hopefully we see more of this SIREN! vive le fysche!!*starchild*
