What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

This movie was very well written, and well acted by the leads. It suffered a bit from some amateur direction, and not the greatest of support casts. But I would definitely recommend it for those looking for a "will-and-graceish" light romantic comedy. It was nice to see Alexander Chapin in a slightly different sort of role, and as a romantic lead. He was way underutilized in Spin City, and hopefully this will be a good next step for him. This was definitely a lifetime (TV for gay men, and the occasional woman) film. Check it out! The canine costars often out acted the supporting cast, but they get better training and management than most

Steven is a writer whose latest book is making his editor cringe. It seems it does not have enough spark for mass appeal. Steven is out of ideas. When he accidentally takes his injured dog to a vet, the very pretty lady assistant mistakes Steven for being gay. When they begin to develop a friendship, Steven plays along to get close to her, hoping to reveal himself at the proper moment. Meanwhile, he does get to go clothes shopping with her! Steven also discovers new material to better his book. However, how will Steven's ruse play out when the truth is brought to light? Will Rebecca welcome his attention or not? This film is very nice. It is not a series of gay stereotypes and subtle putdowns but offers a balanced approach to its basic premise. The dogs in the film are adorable and add furry fun to the flick at every turn. Attractive and capable, the principals actors are there to please, with Jordan Ladd doing a great stint as a selfish but extremely lovely ex-girlfriend. Do you love animals, comedy and kisses? Try to pursue all avenues in order to grab of copy of this dog gone good movie!

Dog Gone Love was a pleasant surprise when i saw it at the Stony Brook Film Festival. The story was very fluid and had some cute/memorable moments. If you are a dog or animal lover, this is a must see. Not sure if it is out yet in the theaters or video? Hmm. The film is loaded with fun/LOL moments with dogs and people romance. It reminds me of that show Three's Company, where people get mixed up about a situation that takes place, which ends up getting cleared up in a funny way. This movie is a cleaver romantic comedy with many twists and was my favorite film at the festival. i can't wait to see it again. WOOF WOOF!!!

I had the opportunity to catch this movie at the 6th annual Marco Island Film Festival. I must say I was greatly impressed. The story plays out like a 90 minute "Three's Company" episode with much hilarity resulting. Please do everything you can to try to see this film.
