The dangers of drug use by teenagers are illustrated by showing how well-dressed, happy teens are turned into slovenly, long-haired, drug-addled potheads who don't know that, according to the film's drug expert, “in high dosages, it [marijuana] parallels LSD.”

Michael_Elliott Drug Abuse: The Chemical Tomb (1969) ** (out of 4)Here's another film warning teenagers of the dangers of drugs. Early on the narrator says that drugs wouldn't be an issue if only the "bad" people were doing them but he warns that now prep/good kids are starting to use them so something has to be done. In other words, if people they don't care about are using them it's fine. However, if they like the people...Well, you catch what I'm going at. This is a rather pretentious drug film that's pretty much boring from the opening scenes to the very last. Sadly there's none of that over-the-top humor that makes you laugh and instead you'll basically just sit there stone-faced because there's not much here. For this type of warning film it's rather well-made but that's not why people watch these.
