EARTH (2007) looks like a Great Movie in Production! Since the beginning of the Production of the film, Earth, i am delighted & pleased to see that the Animal Kingdom stars of the movie, & EARTH, the Movie itself has had a Baby! i have Not yet had the Opportunity to see Earth. Nor Any of the Accompanying documentaries to Earth. DisneyNature is NEW! i have Not had any Exposure to DisneyNature thus far. Fun to see Something Other than Cartoons out of Disney. My main Documentary source is of course National Geographic. i am going to Investigate if there Are Any DisneyNature publications, such as: Books; Magazines; or even Globes! My main Review is just to congratulate Earth on having it's First Baby. Good Luck.

A nice documentary on Earth.Narration is good and the story goes on well following the migration of different species. The images are absolutely astonishing and accurate. Under sea images are most probably the best part of the movie but also the aerial ones taken in Africa are gorgeous. The story teller is also adapt to the images and fluently guides the spectators throughout the different scenes.Stay till the end to watch some behind the scene of the documentary that explain the difficulties of the different operators in capturing such incredible images.

Why on earth should you explore the mesmerizing nature documentary "Earth"? How much time do you have on earth so I can explain this to you? OK, I will not elongate my review exploration on "Earth" to infinity, but I must stand my ground on why this is a "must see". The documentary takes a nature round trip on the migration paths on three animal families: a female polar bear and her cubs with the real life subplot of the father bear daring it out to hunt for food in his isolated path, a mama of a whale with her baby whale taking a whale of a migration tour for prey, and an elephant mama with her small (maybe not so small, they are elephants) offspring migrating in Africa. Directors Alastair Forthegill & Mark Linfield did an "out of this earth" job in also capturing the survival skills of many other animal species besides the magnetic shots of our three animal family protagonists. The cinematographically skilled team of Richard Brooks Burton, Mike Holding, Adam Ravetch, and Andrew Shillabeer were animales in camera shooting the wondrous nature sites and animal instinctive behaviors; not to mention, the slo-mo animal prey shots were u n b e l i e a v a b l e. "Earth" is also a lesson learner on the global warming effect on the animals; the papa polar bear in the doc is the poster animal boy on that consequence. So fellow earthlings, it is time to take the documentary voyage to visit "Earth" today! **** Good

I saw the Disney released (and two year old) big screen version of the planet Earth series on an import DVD. (I was told this was filmed at the same time as Planet Earth with different cameras) Oh my worth this is a trip. Spectacular in a way that few films of any sort are, this is throw back to some of the stunning nature documentaries I used to go to as a kid (Vanishing Wilderness among others). You really have to see this on a screen as big as possible. I sat on the floor in front of the 42 inch screen and was simply blown away. I may actually go see this again on a big screen.Nominally telling the story of a year in the life of animals it begins and ends with the polar bears, traveling around the world to Africa, the Himalayas, the oceans and elsewhere. Yea you've seen this before, possibly even in Planet Earth, but there is something about the way its put together, sound and image that is truly stunning. One of the things I loved about the film was that its ecological message about the world environment being in danger isn't beaten into you its mentioned and we're shown the changes that are happening and what it means (its not just swimming polar bears, but ones that are too tired to catch food.) I'm in awe.One of the best cinematic experiences of the year.
