KnotMissPriceless Why so much hype?
Phonearl Good start, but then it gets ruined
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Aspen Orson There is definitely an excellent idea hidden in the background of the film. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find it.
Uriah43 "Max Peterson" (Shane West) is a computer expert who just happens to be working on a project in Bangkok when he gets a strange package delivered to his hotel room. Upon opening it he finds a cellphone that gives him some extremely valuable advice that not only helps him make a fortune but also saves his life by diverting him from taking a flight that winds up crashing and leaving no survivors. Needless to say, he considers himself quite lucky. Unfortunately, he soon discovers that the mastermind behind the texts has its own agenda and he is merely a pawn in it—and he is quite expendable. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this movie had quite a bit going for it but it became much too clichéd and predictable toward the end which really hurt this film overall. Even so, Shane West put in a creditable performance as did Tamara Feldman who was definitely easy on the eyes as well. In short, this was a passable movie overall and I have rated it accordingly. Average.
barosanescu So, you just found out that you were supposed to be on a flight that just went down. 120 plus people died. And you just go to the receptionist of the hotel, thanking her for not putting you on that flight. Smiling.Who the F wrote this script? Acting? None. How much did these asses so called "actors" get paid for this crap? The rest of the story? Pure crap.Ending? Whoa! The Russians are the good guys, because they helped the Americans destroy the bull crap they created (N.S.A. computer turned A.I.) Waste of time, folks.
traderneal-630-442604 This is about a guy that falls into a money scam - but unlike most money scams it's not about getting screwed out of money but being blackmailed and killed. Could have been better if they put more into it but for a low budget movie this is very good. It doesn't surprise me that people give it a low rating - they are just looking for blood and guts, violence, or sex. If you're looking for a witty movie, a family movie, and original plot, this is for you. By low budget I don't mean it's badly filmed - they just didn't go all out financially to produce a block buster. I've seen a lot of higher rated movies that are not as good - most of the time these movies have a lot of violence or sex (or video game like action) and get 8 or 10 stars when they are really 4 star or less movies. My honest rating is this is above average and worth watching. If it had a lot sex or violence in it they would rate it 10 stars. The lead actor's part is someone you can relate with, a working class man that gets scammed in regards to some get rich scheme, and the actor himself does a good job adopting to the role.
leifu2 What a mistake! So, I was traveling and I downloaded two films from iTunes...One I bought the other I rented... This movie was so awful that I felt horrible for Edward Burns and Ving Rhames...Martin Sheen deserved this movie however. The plot was so obvious and the "danger" was childish and contrived. There was violence, there was the villain...the computer, the love interest, and Mr. Whatshisname...the star. Didn't Kubrick do this same story more than 30 years ago? The rise of the machines and the death of decent screenplay all in about 2 hours...and now I own the damn thing!!! Take your money and buy a couple of slices of pizza and a beer...at least the aftertaste will be more satisfying...
