A different way of telling a story

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

Erased was completely bland and without any substance, this movie was incredibly boring and was honestly a drudgery to get through. I honestly did not even want to finish this film. The acting was just sub par and mediocre, nothing at all to brag about. All the characters were very annoying as well, especially the daughter. The dialogue and script are very poor and just boring, not interesting or engaging at all. The movie has nothing going for it, I mean nothing, not the writing, not the actors, not the characters, not the action, not ANYTHING. This movie was really just a waste of 2 hours. This film was very overly long too, the runtime needed to be much shorter. Shorter as in 0 hours and 0 minutes lol. This movie really didn't need to be made. 1/10 for Erased.

I was a bit bored today so I watched this film and I got to to say I had a fun time with it even though it has some problems. The premise sees an American father and daughter living in Belgium until they become assassination targets. Now after the dark knight I love Aaron Eckhart and he is obviously the best actor and character in this film. He was awesome in the action scenes and you actually cared about his character because he was a good enough actor to rise above some of the lacklustre aspects of the film. The supporting cast don't have the same luck, the kid who played his daughter just got on my nerves the entire movie. I didn't care about her and all she did in this film was stupid things that got her and her dad in trouble. Oga kuryelenko plays the CIA person trying to help Eckhart and she adds absolutely nothing to the film and ends up not being important to the film anyway. The villains were boring and lifeless and you know nothing about them so why should you care. What I like about the story is that it was always moving and keeps you on your toes. However, it becomes way too convoluted and becomes more about government conspiracy then it should be. The script had some decent drama in it but it does fall flat allot of the time and there were forced plot elements that weren't necessary. The style was great, I loved the location of Belgium because it was so different and unique compared to your usual America or Britain. The action scenes were filmed very well in my opinion and flowed very nicely. Overall I thought this was a decent film and if you like action thrillers then you should watch it.

Very rarely will I not watch the whole film. The daughter is such an awful and not enjoyable nag i couldn't take it anymore. i made it 28 min before i wanted to kill her. She ruined the whole movie that had great potential. Everything she says, does...ANYTHING! i hated that ladys part SOO much by almost the half hour marker, seriously, i had to shut it down. I'll never watch another film with that wretch ever again. Pad my comment. really IMDb? You aren't going to get this review more than likely and never again will i attempt to give you one.IMDb = Eckharts daughter in this movie. One track minds? Selfish...the girls voice is even that terrible it made my skin crawl hearing the waste of overdramatic space breathe in and then expel good air, that non-douchebag actors could have had. PS. F#$k OFF IMDb :-)

Oh, no - Jason Bourne has only gone and been set up again. Now he finds himself and his teenage daughter pursued across Europe by one team of hit men after the next. Wait, that can't be right. Oh, yes, I remember - someone else Liam Neeson sort of know has been 'taken' and now he and his teenage daughter find them chased by shadowy hit men as they're chased across Europe.Okay, maybe not, but that's not too far from the truth. What you have here is a basic Bourne/Taken clone with all the elements you'd expect, i.e. car chases, shootouts, hit men, rogue CIA agents, government conspiracies and setting up of the innocent. If you feel you can sit through another one of those types of times, then give this one a go. For all its unoriginality, it's not that bad.The Expatriate plays out exactly how you'd expect it. There are no hidden surprises here. Chase. Escape. Repeat. That's it. Only here you have Aaron Eckhart doing his best to pretend that what he's doing is somehow original and not just a straight-to-DVD rip-off of a more famous franchise.Nothing bad here, but nothing original. Of course... if you have never seen a Bourne/Taken film, you might love this all the more!http://thewrongtreemoviereviews.blogspot.co.uk/
