Fulke Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Mr. Vultfre Not the film I expected. From trailers I expected an unrelenting trip into the surreal, for the film to slowly go down its own blackhole of insanity. But alas, for the most part it stuck too closely to the narrative of an unhappy husband creepily following and seeking attention from two teenage girls. The surreal moments don't quite add up to anything imaginative, rather a disappointing climax with an attempt at a final twist, but that doesn't really land with any weight or exactitude. The filming does feel intriguing, genuine, and interesting most of the time. The acting is pretty solid, though I felt the husband was less interesting than the rest of the cast. About mid-way I was getting bored, as it was still clinging to its narrative without going anywhere with it, so I took a break, only to come back and within five minutes the film gave me its own Intermission. While not highly recommended, I would still recommend a viewing, as the filming and ideas in themselves do hold some interest, as well as some of the imagery filmed.
ohmydarling-99414 I enjoyed the humor and the realism towards the human minds while around different types of people and their curiosity towards others who they've had yet to get to know much about, in regards to fear, attraction, suspicion and confusion. I like the fact that it actually shows the realistic qualities of the human brain, but visually. As for the portions towards the girls and their flirtatious behavior in general (via walking around attracting attention, flipping, dancing, hugging up on each other, in my opinion a bit sensually at times.) made me a bit uncomfortable. As well as the father being attracted to any woman or girl besides his wife and daughter (his daughter, preferably he not be attracted to, of course.), that showed (off) a larger portion of their skin. I am aware that many people of closer relation to one another, often hug up to each other and get close, as it's a natural reflex and level of comfort for many, but the fact that it was sensual, it made me uncomfortable. A few parts made me cringe. Both in good ways and bad. But all in all, the movie wasn't awful in my opinion and I though the acting to be well done. So, good on the actors as well as the director. :)
Reno Rangan The first thing is it is a different film. Might not be fully a fresh concept, but a rare kind. A bunch of wonderful characters and cast, this is somewhat entertaining. Takes place in the backdrop of Disneyland, Florida. Focused on a small family with two little kids having a nice time in the theme park. The story centres mainly on the father, who unable to resist the attraction towards two young French girls seen everywhere he goes. Which leads him to make mistakes being a father. Moreover, strange and unrecognisable events jeopardises the unity of his family.A bit of fantasy and reality, the film has a style. I thought it was just a flow that's taking it to the other end of the film, but the twist caught me by surprise. Nothing like a mind blowing, but for this kind of small flick, it was good enough. I don't think in any way the film offends the Disney park and Disney fans. Though the Disney did a fine job ignoring it rather than creating more publicity for the film by suing. It was just a possibility of life event which can take place anywhere, anytime. So, that's how it came into the life with this children's favourite theme park. Despite where it sets in, the film is for the adults. I think it is worth a try without any expectation.6/10
Romeo Garcia This movie basically plays with all the legend Urban's myth of Disney world. From the robots humans to the demons employees to the mysterious deaths to the ghost kids...I mean to all that creepy things that we all hear of Disney.i like the movie creepy ambient and the way they put all things together. The acting is average for this kind of movie and the movie never boring and catch you since the opening. Is glad to see a very different kind of horror movie...see this movie and go inside the "dark and cruel world of Disney".
