It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

Personally, I like to go into a movie known that it is worth my time, but yet being surprised by the details, suspending my disbelief and traveling into the world of the story brought to life by the "magic of cinema". However, for Evil Angel, I watched it at least twice, and the first time was as part of a series of rare films hardly known to the U.S. domestic market (to this day, this movie seems to only be available second hand, although rumors of EU DVDs exist). One reason for its rarity might be the name: it is easily confused with "Evil Angel Productions", an adult film company which it has no connection with whatsoever. The fact that the first few minutes feature a woman dancing and taking of her clothes on a bed is one of the reasons why I say, "easily confused", however. Now, finding out what the plot is all about is most of the fun in this movie. The basic plot device is simple, and the twists are not too surprising when described, but when you watch the movie, time will sort of melt away as you enjoy seeing the story unfold....The characters are interesting and they are plenty of "shout at the screen" moments where you can build up emotions and hopes that things will turn out one way or the next. The pacing is neither too slow nor too fast, and they are some surprisingly action scenes to keep you stimulated.Having said that, this movie is really made for a more mature audience who wants something light to watch. It is not made for hardcore supernatural fans, hardcore horror fans, or the person who needs to have their attention grabbed every few seconds (e.g. Transformers 2 fans). Rather, it is made for people who normally like to live in reality but occasionally like to step out into the unusual.Given all of that, I gave the film an A rating overall, 8/10.There's nothing too deep or remarkable to set it apart, but it is worth watching, and although it shares a lot of flaws common to movies, I can appreciate the time I spent with it. It is free from major plot flaws, although I am sure nitpickers can find some, and is a way to spend two hours outside of dealing with the real world.... just don't mistake the unconnected adult production company for this rare movie ;)

Evil Angel feels like a horror film that has been put together from other horror film story lines; imagine a ransom note made from different words that were cut from a magazine. This film was so hard to watch because it wasn't fresh, new, or exciting in any way. Richard Dutcher, the director, must be totally out of touch with reality to make a film as clichéd as this. This wasn't art or entertainment, but a sickening waste of time.I really wanted to like this film as I am from Utah and I have a friend with a small role in the film. I found myself laughing out loud or saying "REALLY?!" throughout the film. It is not a scary story. The acting is atrocious. Dutcher takes a huge leap away from his previous style of films and ends up with a hugely disappointing work of garbage. It reminds me of when I was young and I "directed" movies; It's childish like a group of small children wrote the story and then acted it out... besides all the hot naked ladies... or maybe thats also part of the childishness.

This is one strange roller-coaster of a movie. First off it is about two hours long, but never feels boring. It moves so fast and flips back and forth between two stories that it made my head spin at times. The plot, although not that original, feels fresh due to the amazing direction and spurts of bloody violence, all done with a nice touch of black humor. To be honest, I just finished watching it and I am still a bit confused about the entire plot. Basically an evil demon, Lillith can hop into someones body just as they die to possess them. She really does not have an agenda except to kill as many people as she can before she must find a new body. A detective played very well by Ving Rhames is tracking her and a young paramedic is also discovering that something is going on. I guess on paper this plot sounds pretty stupid...but trust me, it is a wild crazy ride and I found myself laughing and gasping throughout. The special effects are not bad and when Lillith kicks ass, it's amazing. So, grab a few beers and some friends and have a ball. Please don't expect to use braincells, this is pure popcorn stuff.

EVIL ANGEL is a horror thriller that evokes Hebrew and Christian mythology about the tale of LILITH, Adam's first wife that was banished from Garden of Eden because she didn't want to be submissive to Adam. She became a fallen angel and since then she has been tormenting Humanity causing death and suffering. This film uses Lilith myth in a usual horror thriller plot that is not too original. Although it's not bad either as it's quite entertaining. The acting is also regular from generally all actors, but I have to mention Ava (which plays CARLA). She does a nice work but more than that she is gorgeous! I didn't know this actress but I really loved her! She's really beautiful and an interesting actress as well...Not being a masterpiece, far away from that, this movie is entertaining and enjoyable. I score it 6/10.
