kschuldt-49741 I love Bradbury. While my favorite is Something This Way Comes, I still love this book as well as the ainfluential works by other writers from that time period. I loved this movie - disclaimer - I do love science fiction. This was a reimagining, not a strict interpretation. Considering the fact that it was written as a dystopian futures 60+ years ago, it's natural that it will need updating. This is not a movie about censorship or government survience or mass media. This movie is about sacrifice. About the struggle each individual has to go through in deciding what they will do to make the world a better place, and then following that decision through to the mortal end. I thought the acting was believable and the end? I burst into tears.

mccammonjw I cannot believe that the Bradbury estate would have given its blessing to such a poor interpretation of the book. The original movie wasn't perfect but it was far truer to the book than this. For a long time, I have noticed that screen writers are too lazy to read the books they base movies on or are too stupid to understand them.

laetitiapayombo Fahrenheit 451 for dummy. The beginning is quite good. Michael Shannon is amazing as usual, but he cannot bear the weight of this movie by himself. You don't have to watch it. You don't need to watch it. Don't watch it!
