Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Tyreece Hulme One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Bessie Smyth Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
tfminfl One of those horror movies that's actually just a cleverly hidden Public Service Announcement, however this one isn't even that cleverly hidden... This gem is all about Ellie, she is a pill poppin momma that uproots her kids for a fresh start, because this time will be different, and in a way it was. Well she starts going to recovery meetings, and yea she's doing ok, until she meets a dealer outside and gets wasted and passes out, while she's passed out another addict from the group, Christopher shows up, who claims his addiction 'tears through people' and of course he tries to stop but can't. And then its time for the not so big reveal, and its not surprise if your watching and have any kind of brain activity, Chris is a vampire, and eats the drug dealer, because drugs are bad, turns Ellie into a bloodsucker, or furthering her addiction and Chris the vampire is the enabler... Then as she slowly turns, she goes through every stage of new vampire that you've seen in movies over and over... starts out small, a tissue with some blood on it, move on to small animals, bigger animals then finally heroin, oops I mean human. Tearing her family apart until the highly predictable ending, what piece of garbage. Enjoy! Filmbufftim on FB
Headturner1 I rather liked this. If you have an IQ and can think of the irony. I was laughing my butt off. Because well if you blinked you'd miss the small humor and connections to " the lost boys". I was cracking that they were so worried about her abusing again but oh no. That would be so much easier situation. I was rolling on the floor when the son went outside to research what might be happening and looks to catch her licking the blood off the floor from his cut on his foot. How he tried to every vampire myth to no avail. I mean it was so utterly but I couldn't help but finding myself cracking up throughout. I thought the boy and girl were rater good and my man James. I knew he could play a creepy character. if th script were better this could have been rather good imo.
Claudio Carvalho The drug addicted Ellie (Vinessa Shaw) is trying to stay clean, attending meetings of a support group for persons who are struggling with drug addiction. She has just recovered the custody of her teenage son Kyle (Colin Ford) and daughter Amy (Eloise Lushina) and moved to a new city with a job got by a professor friend of her. However her second chance in life is affected by her addiction and Ellie uses pills again in a lonely park during the night. But her new acquaintance in the group Christopher (James Ransone) is indeed a vampire and he decides to turn Ellie into one to save her from the drugs. Soon Kyle and Amy see the change of behavior of their mother while Ellie discovers that she is a vampire. What will happen to Ellie and her children?"Family Blood" is a film lost between drama and horror; consequently does not work well. The beginning of the screenplay is a complete mess and the characters are not well developed. Cristopher´s motive to turn Ellie into a vampire is poor and unconvincing. The gore conclusion is terrible. My vote is four.Title (Brazil): Not Available
clintstevens I always like a good scary movie, but this one isn't scary or good. Absolutely NOTHING happens the first 30 minutes, and it gets worse from there. The only cast member i was familiar with was James Ransome, who starred in 'Ken Park'...and I can still see his famous scene from that movie in my mind's eye, and believe me, it was 100 times scarier than his role here (Google it). I have no idea where Netflix finds these turkeys. It seems for every decent flick, there are ten that should never have seen the light of day, and I'm being generous. Don't waste your time.
