Sexual concept dominates the main plot... The strong love between a dad and a daughter has been ruined. So I have had hard time to finish the movie.. It is boring..

Andres-Camara I heard something from her and did not remember, I'll try to see her, although I imagine another movie at three thirty. Well, this does not look too bad. This movie is improving at times. I think this movie comes to play, without sentimentality and without need of scenes that would be left over.All characters are growing during the movie. Let's see your fears, the why of everything.Russell Crowe always seemed to me a great actor, but it is that in this film is surpassed. But it is that all the actors are magnificent. Amanda shows each scene what's inside. The girl at such a young age is already very content and stupendous. The guys are great in their role.We are discovering things and why they have arrived there. You hurt what happened to them.I do not know if he would have given that touch of hope but he has given it in a very good way.It has a great picture, I liked it except at certain times. Even if it is not good with the camera. But hey, if you tell the stories like that, it's really worth it.Although it has phrases left over, like the aunt's in the end, but is that nothing is perfect.Spoiler: One thing I like is that when she goes to bed with someone, she does not show you how they do it, she does not need to, she does not come to show it and she does not. Donald Buehler My wife picked this one - and, as usual, it was great. Well written - good dialogue - excellent acting, Russell Crowe has recovered from Noah and played the role of the damaged, but loving father in a convincing fashion. Amanda Seyfried shows the depths of her acting skills as his very flawed but sympathetic daughter. And our old buddy from Breaking Bad, Aaron Paul, proves he can thrive without Heisenberg.The plot and writing are terrific. With out giving away too much, it is a heart-wrenching story with a number of themes: the ups and downs of an author's life; how money usually gets it way (unless the money monger has moral issues - which they usually do); how separation and lost love can have a life-long impact.And yes, as others have mentioned, it is a tear-jerker. You want so much for the ending to be hopeful and . . . . well you'll just have to see it.I highly recommend this film - it has a few twists and turns as it flashes back and forth from 1989 to the present - with the key issue being - why is she so screwed up? With so much garbage being produced every month it is refreshing to see a taut drama bring together all the elements to deliver a great film experience. I hope you watch it.

stephyxmccollum Seriously I've not cried like that all the way through a film as much as i have with this one absolute amazing!! To top it of my favourite actor Russell Crowe was in it and my favourite actress :) absolute amazing! The best film i have watched in a while!! So heart breaking!! Aaron Paul done really fantastic too first I've ever seen him in anything and he played fantastic. Amazing acting amazing story line just brilliant would definitely keep watching it even if it does make me cry!! Really if you were to give this film a go be prepared and get the tissues at the ready because you will sure need them from the beginning to the end... Will need the full box preferably lol!
